Do you also feel obligated by the attributes when choosing your spec?

Let me explain:
strength is for melee dps and shield block. So if i am a warrior my main attribute is strength. So i feel like i have to wear a shield and go tank spec.
same for rogue, my main attribute is agility and it provides dodge so i must go stealth spec(for dodge talent)

do you also feel like this? i always found a warr going dps weird for example
like, it is not what you are designed for

You said “strength is for melee dps and shield block” In that sense it’s good for two different things but then you think you go for shield and tank spec?
Why is it weird to go warri dps when you already acknowledged that strength is for melee dps?

but if i go only dps my str will go waste becase it also provides block

Should a Shaman be a tank then because they use Strength in Classic + TBC? This seems like you’re making a post to rile people up.

A warrior is also a hybrid class - you can change your weapons/shield during the fight. If no mobs are hitting you --> You don’t need to have a shield equipped.
If mobs are hitting you, then equip your shield.
