Do you think the fighting animations need to be reworked?

I’ve recently started playing this game again, and I logged into my Monk (WW), and as much as I want to like this class and spec, the fighting style/animations are just atrocious. It’s a shame really considering Blizzards other popular game Diablo has a Monk class which has probably the best fighting animations for the Monk fantasy.

I don’t get the purpose of having weapons just sit on our back if we can’t use them? Surely this isn’t a big change to tie a weapon animation to an ability?

Generally the fighting animations for most of our abilities need a big update, it’s too static and there’s no cohesion. Monks are combat specialists essentially, there should be more of a fluid fast fighting style.

What do you think?

We used to have weapons for some abilities and it looked silly since the char put it back after each hit, so I prefer being fist only.

D3 monk doesn’t even have weapon animations so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
The transition between abilities could be a bit more fluent but I wouldn’t want any excessively flashy effects like in action RPGs.

The animations are the main thing that put me off playing monk atm.

I know, there’s a lot of fun things about the class but the animations just look way too silly imo.
