i saw this in wow head today and i want to say something that im sure 99% of the DH players and A lot of wow players will Agree with me in this.
now that Dracthyr can fly with their wings like a dragon and even in the form of normal flying/ PLEASE ADD THIS FOR DEMON HUNTERS TOO.
THEY HAVE WINGS TOO AND EVEN ILLIDAN HIMSELF COULD FLY.
i really want to fly with my dh .
now that evokers have both form of flying then adding normal flying for DHs is a must in my opinion.
imagine they add new Customization DH when you can have your wings on your back like evokers have then you can fly with them
And yes, I think it should be a thing for DHs too. I’ve always felt it was a horrible mistake giving us that ugly demon rat thing for the class hall flying mount instead of just flying with the wings.
Having wings is not the norm actually
Only a few are so far down in the demonic mutation line to have wings
But of course they potentially could summon their wings to fly
Having wings not necesarily means one could fly
Take the Annihilans for example…
As if those aren’t through the roof already anyway. Every couple years there’s some huge invasion happening for a week or a god sticking a giant sword into the neighbourhood or something.
The question is, do they summon demonic wings to glide with or do they actually have them but they are hidden because cosmetic arbitrary reason 5000? Either way, they could easily fly.
Well for Illidan they’re there all along. So my guess is either he’s more merged with his demon(s) and unable to revert (also explains the hooves) or we’re better at containing them due to better training; he was the pioneer after all, might not have worked out all the kinks.
since demon hunters can fly to sky in pvp with the talent name rain from above or something like that so i can confirm that they should be able to fly normally too.
and in one of legion class hall quests you fly and land on the ground to kill bunch of demons like what thor and cap did in mcu.
there is o much potential in this for demon hunters.
they should be able to fly. even with fat balance druid form you are able levitate in sky with their little feathers
No, Illidan cannot fly, and Demon Hunters should not fly, either.
The wings are present and allow you to glide, but they are not strong enough to carry you by bashing your wings. You can use some fel energy to jump extra high and you have high forwards momentum.
This has ALWAYS been the case since Demon Hunters were introduced to the franchise 22 years ago. And quite frankly I am sick to death of the fact that every single time there’s something even remotely cool and unique, a swarm of people come around to demand that it be added to their own class.
You want to soar like a winged beast? Reroll a Druid or Evoker, or become an alchemist and transform yourself into a dragon.
yes illidan can fly.
in one the legion dungeons he fly and chase that dread lord.
in class quest he fly and make you the leader of fell hammer
when burning crusade was going on . illidan were flying for the second phase of the fight and throwing you that blue magical fire/.

What he does in CoEN is hardly flying around freely.
Haven’t seen that. Explain,
He hovered by throwing his weapon into the ground, riding an upward fel current.
Basically, he can “fly” when following felfire, but he cannot fly freely through air like a bird does. In the cinematic immediately prior (as seen in Legion) he does a jump and then appears to fly to the forefront, but he didn’t fly - he did a jump then glided.
And no Illidari can fly at all, not even on these fel current, Illidan has permanent wings, no other demon hunter does.
And I know the lore well enough to know they can’t fly. I do not want them to fly. I am not saying it to troll him, I’m saying it to contradict him so if Blizzard reads this thread for feedback they can see an argument against letting DH’s fly.

in warcraft 3 when he was fighting arthas he was flying too.
No he doesn’t. He kicks off the ground hard and starts gliding back down, inevitably leading him to fall on top of Frostmourne. This is the very thing I already said they can do; they can jump high and then glide back down.
Every time I’ve seen so far where DH players claim he can fly, I go and double check and they don’t fly.
