Dragonriding is McDonalds content

i went eng and spec in to the wormhole … i just set up vulpera camp then travel to quest location do the quest and teleport to camp :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha nice

oh is it not time for us to get a new updated mother’s knife :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh no you need to do something that requires several seconds, oh the horror.

It’s a bit too over-engineered imo. I think it’s a great cosmetic addition to the game, but no way impressive enough to be the main selling point of this expansion.

You’ve massively misunderstood me. I’m saying that the best possible implementation would be to make it just like normal flying with the option to use the vigor dragonflying e.g you don’t loose momentum and drop to the ground you just go slow, or you can use the momentum system for a speed boost. This way both ends of the playerbase get the experience they want. As it stands it’s currently not involving enough for those that like interactive flight and just flying with extra steps for the people that don’t like it.

Imagine boasting about being “good” at dragonriding😞

Saaaaaaad

I found myself hearthing here and there in between taking flight paths from one zone to another. Not to mention the Maw or Korthia where you couldn’t even fly. Felt slow to me, maybe not to you. I never talked anything about older zones.

I’ll take dragon riding, the best talent system this game has ever had, profession overhaul and a new class over borrowed power systems like Azerite Armour any day of the week. I’d also take the current system of having only post level 70 quests and cosmetics tied to the faction grind as opposed to player power like the Covenants. Thank Jebus that we’ve left all of that nonsense behind.

Personally I’m having a ton of fun with the game BECAUSE of the lack of mandatory features. Dragon riding took me a couple hours max to fully upgrade, levelling is no longer a chore because of the zone design and speed of XP gain and all I have to concern myself with is gear.

I’m playing the game more BECAUSE of the alt friendly and progression friendly nature of this expansion. I quit half way through BfA and SL respectively because of the massive checklist of mandatory chores and, so far, it all seems to be gone in DF. And dragon riding itself is really fun. We don’t need to keep reinventing the wheel with boring features like we’ve had the past couple of expansions.

Want to know what a genuinely underwhelming expansion feature looks like? ESO High Isle’s only two features were a card game that nobody asked for and a copy/paste world event. DF features are fine.

boasting? imagine being bad at ANY simple game mechanic that doesnt require more than 1 brain cell, tho looking at ya all i don’t even need to imagine that

I was sceptical at first, and perhaps the way in which the dragon was ‘powered up’ was not great, but once it is at full power and you have a grasp of the system it really is faster than traditional flying and certainly than flight paths.
But you still have flight paths if you need to afk travel, the portal network is also slowly opening up as you progress faction.

Given that for So many expansions we have had ‘no flying’ in any capacity for a long time this is a fair compromise, you still have to experience a good chunk of the content (and pretty much all of it if you do all of the provided side quests) that Blizzard created.
I feel like this is them meeting us sort of half way. It has in some ways sped up the overall experience, and I for one have very little left to do, but this is in part due to the lack of daily content they have available and less to do with Dragonriding. My opinion.

is this post satire?

It must be

When I read the 2nd post complaining about a level squish and ‘losing ilvl’

You knew the thread was full of only stupidity

Yes, yes I do take pleasure in the suffering of others when it’s over something so frivolous. I am quite wonderful irl, suffering has never been so hilarious with me around xD
Literally the only legitimate suffering I take no joy in is the motion sickness people, for whom it is understandably frustrating that they can’t enjoy this feature and are essentially stuck taxying with their friends or worse… flight paths O_o That’s just unfair. The fact that some people don’t like a feature of the xpac because now flying is not just a boring turn off your brain for 5 mins or whatever, is deliciously hilarious =^.^=

There isnt being good or bad at dr tho. You just fly dude.

Go to bed

Because what YOU like is the only thing that matters, right?
What others like is to be ridiculed.

Oh yes. You have hit two points there. First, SL zones (islands) are disjointed and you need to go through Oribos, which of course is a pain. But Dragonriding would not let you fly to/from Oribos anyway. The individual SL zones, Maldraxus, Bastion etc are so small, a regular flying mount is fast enough.

The Maw and Korthia, well, there you cannot fly, and yes it is FASTER to hearth than to attempt to cross on land mount.
