Average age is like 70 in europe we are all guests here my friend.
Game needs to evolve for new bloods, we can’t expect the devs to design game for middle age men who can’t learn anything new.
rofl XD
Sure there are some players that age around, but the majority of players from back in the days is now in their 30s-40s
Explains why most wow players can’t even properly move their characters.
Must suck to be you.
Yeah grandpa it sucks not being bad at the game and young!
You are totally right.
Dunno, life got so much better after puberty. Would hate to go back to your age.
Dragonflying is amazing, you can fly around the map at superspeed without ever slowing down. But it’s kinda bad for gathering, as the stamina regens way too slowly for constant shortdistance-flying.
Oh yeah, whelp follow would make me nauseous, but normal follow is not great for me either.
One of the reasons I’ve enjoyed playing wow is because up until Dragonflight it was a game that didn’t generally make me sick, so a lot of the same feeling.
Nausea sounds awful . Making more of the player base dependant on other people to get around the open world does not feel like a great solution either.
It’s a nice Happy Meal
Dragon gliding ain’t bad, but what is the sales point for this expansion? Dragon gliding and kinda new talent trees? It’s a bit pathetic if you ask me.
We are like FIFA already. We are buying same stuff over and over, just change cover.
I just don’t look at the screen if friends are carrying me around as a whelp, but I don’t need to see where we are going.
I had a quest in the Nok dungeon yesterday and I thought, it can’t be that bad, surely most will have the ability to ride along as whelp enabled. I was mistaken! I am never going to that dungeon without a chauffeur again By the end I felt so ill I just logged off the game.
They’ve tried to champion the idea that this is for the benefit of the player - no more complicated systems, no long chains of ‘fear of missing out’ features, etc…
But if you look closer, it’s more likely to be a combination of real life factors. They offloaded a ton of talented people in 2019 and while that didn’t mess with Shadowlands as it was likely; already heavily in production, it has messed with this expansion.
I don’t think they really wanted to remove any of the psychological manipulation that keeps players playing beyond what they really should but they needed to get a product out as soon as possible and the talent that they had left weren’t able to implement a wide range of features in the time span given.
So while they’re hoping that you’ll see it as a streamlined, less complicated expansion, what you’re actually going to experience is Warlords of Draenor but without all of the additional unfulfilled promises.
I still don’t understand why they didn’t implement dragonriding as standard flight with the option of using the vigor systems.
Dragon riding in its current state is not in-depth enough to be a viable standalone feature there is literally zero reason to use anything other than the 1 vigor spacebar bound button, you achieve max speed almost instantly and from that point on it’s tilt down slightly tilt up slight and press space again. For those that would be interested in a more interactive flying it’s very shallow and for those that don’t like it, it’s just flying with extra steps.
In English, “taking a break” means stop doing a task for a while, and resume later. In the case of a regular flying mount I can simply go make coffee at any time with no further ado. With dragon riding I cannot simply stop, I have to land somewhere, THEN take a break.
Anyway this is a small point, amongst everything else. As I said earlier, we are comparing gliders to helicopters. Which is crazy.
Where? We cannot use normal flying mounts. Not yet, anyway.
And when they enable flying mounts, I doubt anyone will bother even assigning a shortcut to them. I can’t think of why I’d bother, given a choice. To go a bit faster? Who cares. The map is so small anyway. It’s like flying from London to Paris, by the time you hit 30,000 feet you got to start descending again. Now, if the map was 5x larger, then yes.
Really? Where did you travel to? SL’s maps are equally as small as DF. You can cross the terrain in a few minutes. Have you ever flown over Kalimdor?
Ha ha! Imagine, we are HAPPY because they have not included cr*p features. This is called, reward for mediocrity. Which is just one step above, “reward for failure”.
Got them all! And then I started to level my Paladin, and THEN it dawned on me that I had the dragon riding all along, all your alts seem to get it with all the glyphs! Now, this is an alt-friendly, cool feature.
You have my seal of approval
going to love that daily rep/renown timegated farms a other xpac with daily shorses …
have to play wow like a full day work to keep up with progress …
dragonflight = shadowlands 2.0
It´s just cosmetics tho? and some crafting patterns
well there is crafting recepts for cooking , jC and alchemy
Enchanting costs more to fund than my IRL land Rover on finance
yeah hehe. And Centaurs is pretty fast if you do a few hunts here and there.
Edit: Yeah, but I guess the majority comes from prof specialization? At least it does for my LW. Just two patterns from Tuskar and two mail from centaur, and then the prof equipment.
