Hello.

Since last patch, Blizzard added back two new metas, one for Shadowlands and one for Dragonflight.

For the Shadowlands one, we need to complete the Dune Dominance achievement in Zereth Mortis. Blizzard still not nerfed the rare respawn timer for this. I joined a group today and we killed all the rares for 3 hours, and none of the Dune rares spawned.

Blizzard have to nerf this, the amount of time to get thoses rares is too much. And the cherry on the top, which rare will spawn from the 3 available is pure RNG.

If Blizzard loves RNG, they can keep the feature about which one of the three rares will spawn. But at least, make in sort the Dune rare spawns every hour, so people can just wait each hour until they get the 3 rares for the achievment.

This is currently far from being fun, and the current system for those rares is wasting our time.

Just FYI - the Shadowlands meta was added during Shadowlands

During Shadowlands, the meta was rewarding a title.

Since last patch, it now gives a mount and the meta has been added in the section: extension content.

So it’s a sort of round 2 for this meta. Blizzard wants people to get the mount, but since Dragonflight, the Dune rares are incredibly difficult to get, which is why it should be nerfed.

I agree.
Earlier yesterday, I finished all 3 DF raids on LFR, and the rare didn’t spawn even then.
I need the mount from there, but I think these wretches have messed something up again.

There are 2 comments on wowhead suggesting killing protector of the first ones will trigger the spawn in a reasonable time, you should check that out for further details.
Make sure to sort newest comments to the top.

I’ve been spending a lot of time in ZM and, for the last few days I haven’t seen them spawn at all. A lot of rares have been killed, but no spawn.
It might be worth making a bug report ingame as it does seem a bit odd.

We killed the protector three times today, and the Dune rares never spawned. I think it was just a coincidence that happened for them who commented this.

I will do a bug report in-game, in hope more people will do the same, so it gives more chances that it reach Blizzard and they look at this.

I dont think its bugged,its just annoying and stupid but it works as “intended”.
Kill one of the bosses couple days ago( it wasnt the one I needed) and it took like 2.5h for it to spawn which according to wowhead comments is “okay” because those bosses have respawn time between 2.5-3h WHILE you are killing the rares
