Dungeon Deserter / XP Eliminator Debuffs Needs to Change!

Yes this is correct. And it is faster due to that most people knows that this is the fastest way of leveling up your character. Also, most people do not play old content in regards to timewalking.

If you queued as a tank and dps. The highest chance, if you look at how the queue system works - is that you get in as a tank if you marked that as a second role.

How many times have this happened? Note that there are premade players sometimes that may get in your group - and those may kick you for not skipping bosses (if possible),
or any other reason. However, this may occur in 1 out of 10 dungeons.

Yes, this happens many times.

When I level up a char, as a tank (or healer) I mostly out-damage my group up to level 40, where it starts to drop off. Once again though; although it is possible that this may happen in 1 out of 10 runs. It is not something that happens all the time. But there are people that will trigger the vote-kick, and then people - maybe because they are premade OR because they just dont care and will click “Yes”.

While there are no good explanations to why this system exists. Ie:

player removed from a dungeon or raid through a vote-kick or disconnection may receive a Deserter debuff. This debuff prevents a character for queuing for whatever type of instance they were removed from. This can be a Battleground, Dungeon, or Raid. This debuff can only be removed by waiting out the timer. The timer will continue to tick down even if the character is offline. We do not have the ability to alter or remove this timer once it has been applied to a character.

There have been discussions regarding this:

This explains why the vote-kick system exists in first place.

Indeed. I’m not disputing the reasons as to why the dungeon deserter penalty exists, I’m criticizing its implementation and believe it should be improved to create a better and fairer systems.

Anyhow. Further down in the discussion it turns out the reason for the random vote kicks was due to me having my XP lock… and Unbeknownst to me at the time, grouping with others while having my XP locked inflicts a debuff (XP Eliminator) on the rest of the group that severely reduces the XP they gain. Again I feel this is a lazy solution to another problem which I go into in later responses.
