FEEDBACK - K'aresh NPCS; Too many Brokers, not enough Ethereals

Hello, I’m not sure if this belongs here but I have feedback I’d like to give so I am going to try and give it here.

It is very disappointing and a disservice to a story centred around K’aresh to have so many of the friendly NPCS consist of Brokers as opposed to Ethereals. While I understand the context of the story is that the Brokers are helping us to some degree, I find it to be disappointing in a story about K’aresh, and as a result, Ethereals, we spend most of our time fighting the Ethereals rather than being friends with them.

The patch thus far, reads and feels like a patch about ‘brokers’ rather than a patch about K’aresh and Ethereals, which have been the original residents of K’aresh since TBC. I am aware that it is a recent story detail that Brokers are also ‘Kar’eshi’ but considering how fan favourite the Ethereals have been for years at this point, I believe they should take precedent.

I believe this could be resolved in a simple manner - simply balance out the NPC density in friendly zones such as the Eco Domes and Tazavesh. There are several npcs, such as within the eco dome and even vendors like the Transmog vendor in Tazavesh, that could be swapped out with Ethereals in a manner that would not be difficult to accomplish but make great strides in balancing out the vibe and feel of K’aresh as a whole.

The player base loves Ethereals, both as our allies in difficult circumstance and as enemies to fight. Please don’t just make us fight them for most of the story.

I agree with this.
I’ve liked Ethereals since they were introduced and so K’aresh being a focus of the story sounded very exciting, but it’s lost my interest being so focused on the Brokers to almost exclusion of the Ethereals, who seem to have the honour only of being quest mobs.

I’ve a fear this is another moment where “the New” takes precedence over “the Old”.

Ethereals are/were amazing as they were and depriving them of presence in a patch about their own homeland is a mistake. Brokers were a creation of Shadowlands and many players - including myself - want to see as little as possible from said expansion, due to the failure it’s been and the lasting damage it’s inflicted on lore.

Ye, I’d agree with this. There quite a few nice Ethereal moments, but it does feel like it’s leaning more towards Brokers than Ethereals more often than not.
