Fix for Bind-on-Equip items in Midnight

Update 01:50 CET 28 February

We deployed hotfixes to address issues with Bind-on-Equip items. Items that needed to be adjusted should now work as intended, and gear that is intended to required a player level below 90 should have a required level appropriate for its item-level.

Gear that was earned by players themselves and equipped, should once again be wearable.

Items that were generated by level 90 players and is around item level 200 will still have an equip requirement of level 90.

Today we’ve discovered an unfortunate bug in Midnight content where Bind-on-Equip items that are meant to have a minimum level requirement of 90 have been dropping with a minimum of level 80.

We’re working on a fix, and when we deploy that fix, BoE items that should have had a level 90 requirement will operate as intended.

Thank you!

I dont intend to lvl up. Im farming and bought the pieces with speed on for my druid

Nice. I just sniped a full swing of equip this morning to kickstart my leveling for about 30k gold for my warrior. Just to login to a nude Orc now. Thanks for being a paid Beta tester I guess.

Just go to the EU item restore page if you sold the old stuff and get it back.

You know how Blizzard is. We get nothing.

this is so funny thinking exploits often and exploit early will pay off for the average Joey. it only works for mythic raidera and other influencers

Blizzard at its peak “fixing” our fun again! Ilvl 139 requires to be Level 90
Had to please the shareholders I guess!

Auction house is still showing like item level 207 items that are level 80 such a fail

Was holding onto a 165 ilvl piece with lvl 80 needed for an alt and now its useless as its now lvl 90 needed.

iLvl 120 also requires lv 90 currently. Is that correct?

I just spent a lot of gold on gear from the Auction House using the filters “Upgrade only“ and “Usable only“. There was a whole list of items displayed as level 80 and after retrieving them from the mailbox they suddenly required level 90. I tried to contact support in-game but there is only an item restoration option.

Is there any way in which I can undo these purchases? I spent quite some gold on it since the upgrades were so massive compared to my level ~100 gear. I wish I’d known about the item level bug…
