I’m currently experiencing some pretty severe flickering in WoW Classic running on NVIDIA 512.59 drivers. This issue only occurs on Directx12 and Directx11 - Directx11 Legacy is unaffected in my experience. The issue is not exactly reproduceable, however, it seems to occur much more often in places like Shattrath City and Bloodmyst Isle. This ONLY happens in WoW - Retail and classic, but no other game.
You might want to mention which video card. Full screen flicker is usually related to having Gsync enabled.
I haven’t had any flickering, on Retail, with a GTX970/DX12.
RTX 3060 Ti. Flickering happens on multiple drivers, g-sync enabled or disabled, MSAA enabled or disabled. The ONLY thing that fixes it for me is running the game in DX11 legacy which pretty much cuts my performance in half
Replying here in case anyone else is having this issue: for some reason that I can’t explain, this issue is caused by having liquid/water detail on the lowest setting. If I increase the setting to ultra the flickering stops
