They really just shouldā€™ve gone full bnet posting while at it. This is another thing to add to the pile of recurring issues that can plague the character you post as.

That was the dream, but we have this half measure instead, which seems to have itā€™s whole own issues.

Blizzard needs to stop forcing people onto classic forum characters!

Blizzard and bugs go hand in hand, no more that ā€œSoonā„¢ā€ polish ā€“ thatā€™s long dead.

Think itā€™s due to making forum accounts account-wide with the Trust level thing and such.

You can already see bnet name when pressing View Activity on someone, well at least it seems to be the account name associated into a forum account since it doesnā€™t have the the actual bnet #. Been like that for 2 months I think.

Thatā€™d be nice, and linking your character to it for those wanting to ā€˜retainā€™ their avatar.

Forums 2 decades ago did that for other gamesā€¦

Considering my main is the character I post on here, not really. Not once have I been harassed ingame, and Iā€™ve been around since TBC.

How do you expect to get harassed if you donā€™t automatically accept random friend requests? Even if you did and it turned sour you can just block.

No, that would not be good. We should have our ā€œforumā€ tag be used for posting. For example, if you mouse over my character icon, it says ā€œdarkmits-23088ā€ in the path. That is unique, but it hides my bnet account while simultaneously ensuring that I cannot hide behind alts for posting on the forum.

Press Y, go get them.
