Really 6/10 of you friend have been ban ? you are clearly spamming a lot or worse.
I mean I’m not proud of it but when I play in random BG I always spam, I sometimes have been a little vulgar 
and I never been ban or mute.
So I wonder what you have to do to be ban …
Or you know… perhaps don’t spam? Even in trade chat you are not supposed to spam or be toxic.

Like I said many times, this is not spam that tries to annoy people, it’s just abusing trade chat for it’s purpose to sell and buy items. He wasn’t trying to annoy anyone. It’s a bad system.

If you abuse something to make gold, it shouldn’t be punishable either as long as you’re not vulgar.
In all honesty its sounds like an issue of immaturity. You’re too busy casting blame on the system rather than seeing your behaviour for what it is.
Over-using, abusing… How about you (or your ‘friend’) just use the trade-chat. Especially after several slaps on the wrist?
Edit: Now I have an ear to the argument: good behaviour should count for something… but in this case it seems to be quite the repeat offender.
Are you implying I am the only one criticizing this system? Because I know many people who disagree with you on this. The problem with this system is that it doesn’t offer reform for good behavior. If you made a mistake 3 years ago and don’t say anything bad in 3 years, and you say something remotely offensive you get a longer punishment. Its just a bad system.
Let’s not act like this is a once in 3 year thing. I wasn’t born yesterday.
No I was giving you an example. I would assume that its normal to get silenced once every 6 months, if you use the chat a lot. People literally report others over the smallest things because some people are lame and get easily triggered and want others to suffer.
Most definitely not.
I can’t say that is a normal thing to happen unless: you have a certain attitude, use inappropriate language on a public channel, spam or being targeted by harassment and in that case blizzard will overturn it.
The only thing you can do: is appeal/contact support.
Even when I was on mechagon I didn’t get silenced when I sent messages about rustfeather being up despite not being up. Lots of people were in the chat at the time. Everyone come flying in panic because you linked the position and a faked hp %.
You understand that its not GMs who silence people but people who silence people? So your account is in the hands of people who can group up on you and systematically silence your account.

You do realise that the ones who can overturn the silence are employees of Blizzard right? Hence why I tell you or ‘your friend’ to contact them.
That being said, you really sound disingenuous about the whole matter when your
constantly changing what ‘your friend’ actually did. Might want to stick to one thing if you expect sympathy for this issue.
It didn’t happen over night. Some of us get a warning once every year and it stacks up, it never goes down. You know warnings happen especially if you play the game a lot and I speak on behalf of thousands and thousands of players.
I’ve never received a warning with my 1400 days /played.
