Get Summer Ready During the June Trading Post

Wow has been pretty manly for years under the old development team.

Let the other preferances have some fun for a while.

Its a new age of this game after all.

Metzen might bring the manly with TWW

Wait and see.

I laugh when people think Metzen is going to make it all ANTI-WOKE MASCULINE GRR!
I hate to break it to you guys but Metzen is “woke” now

That’s going to hurt quite a few people in a few months, isn’t it

Their salty tears shall season my popcorn :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

He might be woke. But he is also not stupid to neglect all sides.

I don’t get why Blizzard don’t just make a game that’s fully inspired by Sailor Moon and Genshin Impact and Fortnite and all that stuff.

I mean, it’s obvious that there are a lot of developers at Blizzard who’s itching to make this kind of cute, fun, whimsical, kawaii, stuff.

But all of Blizzard’s games are at their core about orcs and demons and space monsters.

So because they have no other outlet for it, they have begun to sneak all their rainbow glitter and sparkles into those games that are about war, hell, and aliens.

Blizzard…

just make that gatcha anime kawaii game with lesbian elves and furries with bewbs and collaborations with Coca-Cola.

It’s what you really want.

Why keep up this charade?!

Oh noes, the sparkles, they is going to gets me! Eeee! What shall I do!

Metzen has children who plays wow… I wouldn’t say his entirely super woke for that reason and will just bring about every woke idea like some messiah for that reason.

His reasoning for coming back to wow was literally his children also playing the game. And he wanted to secure its story.

The issue isn’t the “woke”. The issue is “badly written woke”.

Diversity can work excellently by NOT making it the major point of content.

They dont have the talent to make a banger which would make a impact on todays market thats why.

So they put it all on the old warhorse they can rely on . Warcraft.

With that, I agree. I still think a lot of people are going to be very disappointed.

I dont see what would be problem in having hawaii shirt with shorts or beach sandals with a chair to sit on from the trading post for a gnome warrior example. I think it would be fun addition in the game especially now with summer in mind. For whichever bodytypes people use the mogs theres mogs for all in this game. :parasol_on_ground: :dracthyr_a1:

Woke is going to be a underlying theme in tww for sure as thats the donkey new blizzard has chosen to ride.

But if they fully neglect masculinity they will very soon be shooting themselves in the foot, while you all enjoy your popcorn with woke wow

The reason is simple.

Money!

Making a new game costs money. Putting in all that (as I call it) " :sun_with_face: :lollipop: :rainbow: " stuff into existing games is much cheaper.

Which comes at the cost of us existing core audience being more and more neglected to serve a smaller/non-existent audience.

You have absolutely no idea what the audience is because nowhere do you have to fill out a form to indicate your sexual or gender preferences to play an online game. It’s like people pretending women still don’t play video games :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

That has nothing to do with sexuality or gender. People wanting serious warcraft story/content and not some cross-over event stuff ala Fortnite has nothing to do with that topic.

I never said that, just for the record.

You neither right nor wrong here but my 15k tender saved will agree with you. Mostly what we get is not relatable to some of us so we quietly move on. Other’s who do love it will spend on it.

But what does summer or beachwear have to do with that? Its beachwear for upcoming summer from trading post if I understood right. And blizzard adds options for all bodytypes in the game so everybody have something.

It’s just cosmetic stuff. It’s fluff. Does it honestly matter? Will I like bunny cat ears? NO but will I complain when they inevitably put them in? No. Because it doesn’t matter, unless they revive Garrosh wearing the sailor moon set and doing this:

It just looks dumb.

I remember prior to the release of Diablo IV that fans really praised the art direction and the aestethics of the game. They even begged Blizzard to not deteriorate it with the silliness that’s seen in other games, because there was a desire to preserve the “dark” atmosphere that Blizzard had created – and even hyped themselves!

But even the Diablo IV store and season rewards are starting to lean more and more into the anime armor and the rainbow horses with stars.

It’s sad that that’s always the direction these Live Games take. Because it’s all of them.
