Give us world quests.....everywhere!

I like the world quests concept, i often don t like the type of tasks linked to them, boring and not fun, time consuming basically for no reason.

But i like them.

So, make them meaningful, once got renown 29 world quest item drop at 194 item lvl, sounds good

Just 2 more adds:

  1. keep item lvl a bit lower than mythic/raid/pvp gear, but add unique stats combinations or effect; make also quests for these items more difficult and locked behind a mini quest storyline

  2. how can we call them worldquest if you find the proper ones only in new zones? Scatter them among all Warcraft zones…it would be great to spend hours in jade forest or badlands or northrend to get that unique item of decent lvl and stats.

What do you think? Can we rally behind this very simple change and make it happens?

Allthough i like the idea of making old zones interesting again. The sheer volume of world quests would be a problem no?

You decide the weekly amount of them and they will change on weekly basis…not an issue imo

Make crossroads barrens daily questing hub > entire maw & torghast

I would just like if the daily cache from the callings actually had something even remotely meaningful in them instead of grey garbage.

I dont understand the meaning of this. They dont even contain anima. Why not just give gold instead of grey crap? Its so silly.

In legion and BFA, they played a big part in getting AP and azerite. As well as a lot of other currency reward.

In SL, the only purpose of doing the daily callings is to get rep, its beyond stup*d tbh. Was grey items + occasionally some low gear/conduits really the best they could think of in regards to WQ cache rewards? So lazy and dumb. They could atleast give a fixed amount of amima and soul ash.

nope we cant.

Not only that , they should have added pre cata azeroth questing to chromie time.

I am all for searching for some special item in old zones as long as I dont scale down to the level. If I want that I will log into my GW2 char and go do some dailies there. Scaling in WoW is messed up badly as it is already so I dont need that in the whole game, my opinion ofc…

I reach 194 long before renown 29…

Give us back the quick turtle and kirin tor quests!
I would be surprised if anyone love to basically waste time on the WQs these days to earn something useless… (would anyone even touch these things if it wasn’t for the miniscule anima reward? And of coruse the Calling… but that ~2000 gold… eh… )
The Kirin Tor and Tortolans at least were kinda short an a refreshing distraction with the puzzles from the mindles killing

Well, WQs are an endgame system, so the quests have to be max level.
So there’s 2 solutions to this: Scale us down to the zone’s level so that the content is somewhat challenging OR have max level stuff in that zone.

In the second case, that would be a problem for leveling players, so we’d need a special version of that zone only for max level. I’d prefer this and I’d love to see what our ‘past’ questing has resulted in for that zone; has there been development there over the years, for instance.

Well, they can drop world quest items 200, like unranked pvp gear. The point is: gearing trhough world quests would be viable to get decent stats and items

If Blizzard was good at scaling then sure but they are not, they already messed up Legion/ BFA and I for one dont feel like them also messing up old zones.
Making a small area max level like they did long ago f.e in Barrens is fine to me. In fact I already made a post about worldq all over the world like that yrs ago when they first came out, like old prof quest or do stuff in Orgrila etc…

I liked what they did with Arathi Highlands and Darkshore in BfA.
(though what they did with Uldum and Vale was horrible; those zones are ruined).

I should have made my post more clear. I love his idea and ofc would understand scalling down but only temp, I dont want to be scaled down in those old maps permanent like in GW2.
I would hate that since sometimes I still farm old continent and I like that to be fast and smooth
As for the rest, hey I am all for going back and do special quests for the Kalu’ak!!

I’m not gonna lie, the idea of having world quests in old zones is actually quite appealing. That said, I think the rewards should be limited to gold, reputation, and maybe some trinkets or that zone’s mats or whatever. I don’t think gearing through old content would make too much sense, especialy since they probably wouldn’t scale to level 60.

I think the idea would be; max level quests during ‘current time’ in old zones. We’re not actually travelling back in time; we’re visiting these old places for NEW reasons.

So it wouldn’t be ‘gearing through old content’, but rather ‘gearing through new content in old zones’.

Only thing atm that wouldn’t make sense (lore wise) is getting anima in ‘real world’ zones.

Perfectly explained, gearing through new contents by new quest storyline in old zones, contents linked to current expansion story

So you want me to see that questfest all over the map mate? Hell no.

I hate world quests with a passion so the last thing I want is see them in the old world as well.

If Shadowlands did something right was that it made them non mandatory. Rep is a lot easier to farm with callings. BFA made me hate rep farming and world quests.

Old maps can be made relevant in a future expansion with a world revamp and new stories, not with more world quests imo.

Old zones are literally dead since cataclysm…a whole world empty. Imo they are much more interesting and well designed than every expansion, maybe just legion zones were good
