GM Scam-Gehennas EU

Hey everyone,
Today I received a message from “Bl*zzard” that said something like:
“Hello, we at the Blizzard team has noticed that you have been transfering gold for money, please log in to your battle.net account on following link before we ban you”

Alot of other people I’ve spoken with have also got the same message during several days.
The person sending it is a lvl 1 shammy, and it is ofc fake.

Has any here seen it?
Has anyone seen it outside of Gehennas EU?

Cheers

It’s a known phishing scam.

Whispers like these telling you “confirm” your password/account details have existed as long as WoW has, I remember getting my first whisper like that back in Hillsbrad foothills lol.

It’s sad that people are still somehow falling for them.
It’s always about you having done something against the rules, gold-buying, botting, cheating in other ways etc to make you panic and “act fast” to not lose your account/get banned.

Remember that Blizzard will never ask you to confirm your password or any such nonsense and for more security add authenticator.
Also don’t go to links people send you, manually type them in your browser instead.

Thanks for the answers, had no idea
