Golemagg and Shazzrah players, lets transfer to Dragonfang and play the game

The queues for both Golemagg and Shazzrah are again at 8000+ with an estimated time of around 4 hours, and during the weekends they’re even worse.

Its clear people are stuck between 2 seemingly bad choices - to sit in a queue every day, or move to a ‘dead’ server. Nobody wants to blink first and is hoping everybody else transfers.

I suggest we, the players, take this situation into our own hands. People are hoping for paid character transfers, but these are pure speculation, and the current situation doesn’t appear to be getting any better.

The guilds and communities currently sat in queues on Golemagg and Shazzrah should seriously consider talking to each other and agreeing to transfer to Dragonfang so we can all start playing the game we’ve been looking forward to for years.

Playing the game is always better than sitting in a queue. If even 25% of the people currently sat in Golemagg and Shazzrah queues transferred, Dragonfang would become a Medium-High population server straight away. Blizzard have given us this option, and its up to us to make the most of it and transfer in numbers and put 2 weeks of indecision and frustration behind us.

Myself and 8 mates transferred to Dragonfang on Monday, and it was a great decision. Yes, the server is much quieter than Golemagg, but this won’t be permanent. We’ve had no issues finding levelling groups for quests and instances - all while logging in whenever we want, on our established characters, and being able to log off for an hour without the fear of not getting back on for the day.

Dragonfang is growing, with an active, friendly and eager community of players.

I’m on Dragonfang since its xfer launch and I want to say that the first 3 days were indeed like a ghost town.

It has changed though.

Balance wise: it’s one of the only few realms where horde/alliance ratio is close to 50/50 or even in favor of the Alliance. I’ve seen the Horde being ganked in STV (that’s uncommon compared to Shazzrah).

I’ve seen the entire guilds of 60+ ppl transfering here.

The only thing I’m not happy with is the lack of some specific AH auctions. It’s going better day by day that AH auction count went from under 1k to over 2k in last few days but its still lacking.

Anyway It feels like the realm is growing, the average pop lvl is 30ish, LF groups in 15-40 dungeon bracket is smooth (except very morning hours). Given fact that the realm is very fresh, these figures look promising.

People are nice and the community seems mature. Im not seeing any tryhards or offenders.

My whole guild transferred, we are having a great time playing the game.
Server is not nearly as dead as people would think and is quickly filling up with new players,
More people should join us!

Like Matsuri, I transferred after days of thinking, but ultimately decided that playing the game when I wanted was more important to me than queueing to play the game - and more time-effective than re-rolling from scratch.

I’ve just done an SFK group - finding members was no problem, and the group was really chill.

If you’re considering transferring, do it!

What an absolute relief this was. The server is filling up with committed & fun gamers. I’m looking forward to reaching High capacity soon. The game simply is more fun when you’re able to play and the sheer amount of 55-60’s already transferred is ideal as we’ve arranged to raid MC this weekend.

My self and a few friends made the jump last night . yes its a bit quite but there are groups for dungeons forming but aleast you can play the game and from running cenus data over the last couple of nights the server is getting more people coming each day :smiley: . The majorty of the server seem to be the 10-30 bracket atm.

Perhaps, but unlikely. They’ve just announced additional transfers from Gandling, and I really think some guilds and communities who are feeling the pressure of their members not being able to play - will accept the situation and relocate to Dragonfang.

As I say, if even a few guilds move together and a small percentage of people who are still sat in queues weeks post-launch decide to transfer - Dragonfang becomes a medium-high server and we can all put the queues behind us and finally enjoy the game.

you already had 2weeks to reroll your low level on a proper server anyway. people who sit 2weeks in the queue will continue to do so

I think a lot of people still queuing expected the queue situation to be fixed by now, and can’t see an end in sight.

My personal situation - a bunch of my mates are levels 40-50 and were unwilling to re-roll on a ‘proper’ server and lose multiple days /played now they’re back at work/school etc. I’m sure we’re not the only ones.

Can you make new characters or you can only transfer? I’m looking to reroll on new server as I want to help people with tank shortage. I would be really happy if some guild takes me and help me out. Plan to go NE druid tank for leveling and healer once I reach end game.

I play on Earthshaker so I can only speak for this server and not Dragonfang. The whole “dead server” meme is what’s making people both on the server and outside unsure about the server.

Earthshaker has gone from 200 to 2000 horde since the server transfers started. The same amount on the alliance side, the server pop is pretty much 50/50 atm.

Auction amounts are up from 1k to 7k since sunday. A lot more people can be seen above 40 now. It’s really picking up, and the community is really chill.

Now we are getting transfers from 4 servers instead of just 2 which will increase the pop even more.

People need to drop the “dead server” memes and realize that the servers are fresh.

The whole “dead server” memes are a bunch of reddit/4chan kids just trolling around.
They want provocation and that’s the point and nothing else.
I’ve seen people do the same on “High” servers aswell.
Some people have nothing else productive to do in their life.

Great initiative Matsuri, hopefully some people will man up.

Me and my guild merged from Shazz as soon as they released the new servers on 27th.

Im shocked how people would even stay on these servers with 20k+ queues, level up their toon and complain about the servers still being full now.

As I said in another post, my guild of about 20 and I moved here yesterday as most of us have work and face 4 hour, 8000 people queues when we get home.

Most of our guild is 40-50s and we’ve had no problems getting a group; really happy with the decision; with the news of Blizzard opening more realms to transfer I think the realm will fill up quick, especially with the weekend rolling around.

What about Blizzard empowering the servers so we all can play? Its technically possible, they just dont want to. We are at 2020 come on
