About us:
Suboptimal is an English speaking late night raiding guild on Draenor. The guild was formed at the end of 8.3 with the goal of creating a mythic team to go into shadowlands with, focusing on cultivating a relaxed raid atmosphere.
Since then we have had success in our first raid tier achieving 6/10 mythic and are now looking to go even further in 9.1 with an eye on cutting edge. If you’re looking to join a group of active players wanting to push themselves into harder PvE content, with a chill vibe, good banter and a friendly atmosphere, then we might be for you!
Raid times:
- Thursday (22:00-01:00 Server Time)
- Monday (22:00-01:00 Server Time)
We may in future run optional raid nights (to clear heroic once we are on with mythic), these will likely be on Saturday nights
If you’re interested in applying:
Applying to join the Raid team will involve a trial process for a period during progression looking at performance and personality fit. We expect that applicants wanting to join the team straight away will have some raid experience although mythic experience is not necessarily expected. Players with good potential, the right mindset and a willingness to improve with us are more than welcome as long as they can perform to where we need them. Once someone has passed their trial they will become a core member of the raid team, with a consistent spot for as long as they are performing well enough to earn it.
We are recruiting for:
- Ranged DPS of all specs
- Particularly Mage (all specs), DPS priest and Moonkin
- A healer (any spec)
- Strong applicants in other roles are welcome and will be considered
- Expectations for raiders:
Come with a good progression mindset and cooperate with raid leadership
Try to improve your own performance to help the raid succeed
Attend consistently (sometimes things come up though, that’s fine : )
Perform well enough to contribute to the raid and not detract from it
Respect each other’s time

Collectors: we have some pretty avid collectors in the guild and are happy to welcome more, so you can expect to see events like transmog and achievement runs in our calendar
M+: Many of us are interested in trying to push M+ keys, so in addition to the normal guild keys we will be looking at forming one or more static push teams within the guild
PvP: Although most of us are not avid PvPers and we are primarily PvE focused, we would be more than happy to connect people together and organise events for PvP if there is appetite for it!
Other games: Most of our players are interested in other games as well, so you might find our libraries overlap!
