[H-RP] [2025] II Mizuk - Vulpera Festival

The Schedule has been slightly tweaked to give some breathing room between events.

I have also decided to change the nature of the Tourney this time, something more inclusive and less one-on-one for the sake of representing familiarity more properly. I will specify the details within the context of the event, but the TLDR is that it will be a tower defence inspired event.

Stall 2: Taro - Dustpaw Caravan
Offering: Blessing services! Need love? Blessing of love! Need luck? Blessing of luck! Need to be faster, why not blessing of swiftness! The Dune Priest doesnā€™t take responsibility for reckless actions done during blessings.
Stall 7: Ombashiā€™s Marvelous Marvels
Will sell woodcarvings and magical goods and services, enchantments, runes, scrolls etc. Come one come all!
Stall 8: Moonlit Sandfox
Food and drinks to fill your belly and your heart! Tavern selling foods and drinks based on vulpera cuiscene.

Alongside that, a reminder that we still have some slots for the upcoming trading spots! 6 has just been taken.

It should be a chill evening beginning with the introduction and narration of a tale about unity of the peoples of the Desert, kin or kith, and continuing with a hectic simulacrumā€¦

The first day today was absolutely wonderful! Really really enjoyed myself with it! Looking forward to the next two days! :dracthyr_love_animated:

The First day ended peacefully!

The First speech introducing the celebration once more reminded the peoples of Volā€™dun to face the future no matter what it may bring, and speak up about their desires for it!

We also proven the power of our words by performing a small, collective ritual in which our aspiratons became magic through passion and effort, to protect us with a Blessing of Wonders for the days ahead.

While others chose to remain calm and at peace, happy with their banter and tradingā€¦

Others really wanted to immerse themselves in the Spirit of Volā€™dun, and find themselves challenged and proven, and therefore we faced and triumphed over a trial of the Ancestors incarnating Sun, Moon and Sky/Sands, in which Illusions of Sand and Magic assaulted the wagons they chose to sit uponā€¦

We ended the night by travelling to the Oasis, and regale ourselves with Tales old and new to be spoken freely.

I will see you tomorrow! Make sure to rest well!

The Second day has been rocky, to say the least. The scavenging run opened the way to many surprises and a couple of tragedies, any opportunity of trade and commerce promptly interrupted by crazed Ranishu and their insatiable urge to impose Hunger as the rule in Volā€™dun.

The Vulpera must brace themselves, because the menace of the Dark Storyteller seeks to once more ruin any prospect of progress and peace for kin and kith, and it can no longer be denied. A god of extinction is watching them, and only being self aware and ready to face him will they triumph.

The Ancestors watch with upmost pleasure, still, for their bonds proved themselves strong and renewed by the joint efforts to build and cook as the last activity before their sleep.

Across these lands, reviled are beasts of hunger. Hated by the prey that flees, to only hide that they flee from the truth.

Wormlike, wretched, grubby, and shocking.

They are Incarnations of Hunger, which any wits trump.

From what i heard and saw it looked like a blast.
Sorry i was only able to be there on the first day, but looking forward to the next Festival :fox_face:

The Festival is over, over on a bittersweet note.

It was known that it would be a difficult day, undeniably, for at some point the Vulpera had to face that some actors, and some creatures, refused to see them do anything but toil in hunger and desperation.

There would be no longer a quick or a clever, just a rushed and a desperate.
A beast, a challenger, an adversary appeared to impose such a falsehood, in wicked hopes they would just run away.

And it clearly did not happen, no matter how ā€œwrittenā€ it was.

With the Call of the Wailing Bone opening the night and the way into Atulā€™aman, and the voice of their ancestors guiding and emboldening them, they faced the challenges laid upon them without looking back a single moment, as they delved deeper and deeper into those rotten ruins.

Not even when surrounded by fire and debris did they hightail it. Even as the evil creature, a Ranishu of a cautionary tale made real appeared in front of them seeking to overcome and overwhelm, the Vulpera heeded the wisdom of the story, and as it screeched and mutated into the most horrid of beasts, their Wits finally overcame the Hunger that sought to devour them within and without.

Our evil antagonist had nothing to do against the Vulpera, and after an infantile and pathetic fit of rage did he swear that he would return, especially now that in Volā€™dun blow winds of valiant change and a future together.

Stand ready, Vulpera, and peoples of Volā€™dun.
The next time may not be during a sweet Festival.

The New Chronicles of Volā€™dun are to be Written, and only the quickest and cleverest writers will get to gain that right

Find yourselves, or Find yourselves Lacking, as you face the future to conquer!

Iā€™ll see if I can reach out to various assistants in order to give some closure, details AND trinkets as I said in the first day. I was quite OVERWHELMED by the immense amount of people around and I want to take my time giving something cool and useful beyond a mere lilā€™ā€¦memento, a nice addition to your bag of tricksā€¦

However, I do need to sit for a few days while the evil turtle god seethes and ragesā€¦

Make sure to stay safe out there, and Follow the Dunes.
