Sequence is a weekend raiding guild on the Horde side of Firemaw [PvP]. Formed on the first day of Classic, our goal is to strike the perfect balance between real life and a video game, this no strictly enforced requirements on our players, however, we do ask that our members put as much effort in as they can to make sure their performance is competitive and sufficient for the content we are clearing. Planting ourselves firmly in the ‘semi-hardcore’ category, we are a guild that values the competitive and social aspect of World of Warcraft equally.
Our schedule following the release of Naxxramas is as follows:
Saturday - 20:00 - 23:30 - Naxxramas
Sunday - 20:00 - 23:30 - Naxxramas + MC Binding
Changes will likely be made to the raid schedule once Naxxramas is being cleared smoothly.
DPS - Open
Healer - Open
Other classes will be seriously considered, provided the player can show us they have exceptional experience or performance. Sequence is an equal opportunity employer, so we do not discriminate based on talent specialisation.
What we require of our members is relatively standard, as with most guilds we do expect players to be able to attend the majority of raids, although being a niche guild we are understanding of some absences.
While PvP is a focus for many of our players, we do expect everyone attending the raids to be in an optimal PvE-focused talent build.
Discord is where a lot of guild-related communication and raid signups take place, so our players are expected to join the server and communicate or respond when necessary.
Some consumables, such as Fire/Nature/Shadow Protection Potions, may be made mandatory for all players for encounters where we feel it is particularly helpful.
Players will be required to collect resistance sets for any relevant content.
We understand that loot plays a big part in a players experience of the game, but we also understand how vital it is to the success of a guild to ensure that loot is being distributed intelligently to ensure we are clearing future content while remaining fair and transparent.
With that being said, we are currently using a semi-DKP ‘wishlist’ system which allows each player in the raid to pick three items from each raid that they are able to bid their DKP on through an auction. Items that are not chosen by any players will be rolled for using a standard MS>OS system. DKP is primarily earnt through raid attendance, although a bonus is available for players attending raids with at least two world buffs.
Alongside the system, we choose to enforce an item priority list that seeks to ensure loot is being distributed optimally. This means that in some cases classes and roles may have priority on items - the most obvious of which is ensuring that the guilds tanks are at the very least, hit capped. These priorities, as well as wishlists and DKP, can be tracked through our public spreadsheet which can be found on our Discord.
