The High Council, eh? New phone whodis
The High Council is a raiding guild on Ragnaros that boasts a track record spanning over 12 years with its roots in Vanilla. While the guild was more hardcore oriented back in the day, pushing top 50 WR, it is now more focused on maintaining a healthy balance between progress and social priorities.
On a more specific note, as of TEP, we are looking to augment our roster with active, progress oriented players and we are especially interested in those who desire a more active role in the guild from both and raiding and social perspective.

Progress-oriented? An active role from a raiding perspective? What does this even mean?
We’ve undergone some changes over the past tier, and we’ve come to believe our most valuable asset is fostering a collaborative environment during raids. In practice, this means we believe there is significant value in including as many people as possible in the processes that go on to determine boss strategy, roster decisions, even loot decisions. The guild has a strong roster, with a core group of highly active players who are happy to involve themselves outside of raid times.
There are no gods or kings here, we want to build a community that promotes criticism and peer review; one where every raider is open to giving and receiving feedback.
Hmm… So what are your goals?
Our most immediate goal is to round out our roster with a few more raiders who share a similar mindset, are very driven to improve their play and ideally want to contribute to reset-to-reset guild life. We believe with the roster we currently have we can easily achieve a ~500 ranking this tier, we are being held back by occasional absences from people that sometimes lead to us playing people on offspecs or alts, slowing down our progress.
We are very driven to improve, and we expect new recruits to do the same.

As a guild:
⦁ A highly competitive raid group, with roster decisions being very heavily based on performance and attitude.
⦁ The opportunity to be more engaged in the raiding experience, participate in pre-boss discussions and be more involved in the guild than most allow.

As a raider:
⦁ Feedback during your trial period and beyond
⦁ A core spot yours for the taking, for BfA and beyond
⦁ Freedom to give and receive feedback to any and all members, be they trials, raiders, officers or the GM.
⦁ Fun to be had on discord, quality memeing. fiendish trolling
What is expected in return?
Your firstborn child and your inheritance usually, however we make exceptions for the people who posses the following qualities
As a raider:
⦁ Commitment for at the VERY LEAST the full tier
⦁ Mythic raiding experience and logs to back it up
⦁ Attendance must be 100% or as close as humanly possible
⦁ Vocal, please don’t be shy
⦁ Fluent english
⦁ Microphone that doesn’t damage our ears or our mental health
⦁ Strong class knowledge, willingness to improve and learn
⦁ Gear and neck/essence progression deemed adequate to be competitive, we will not boost you
⦁ Ability to play offspecs, alts at a high level is very valuable
As a homosapiens sapiens:
⦁ Motivation. We do not want to have to follow up on you, if you are underperforming you should be the first one to change that
⦁ Ability to give and receive feedback without having an ego crisis
⦁ Progress oriented mentality, healthy competition is fantastic, toxicity is not tolerated, divas are not tolerated.
⦁ Respect others, don’t go out of your way to be dickish or cause drama.
⦁ Be willing to voice your opinion. Don’t be afraid to express discontent, we are 100% willing to disclose our motivations for all our decisions and have you evaluate them.
