[H] [Thunderstrike] <Animals> Raiding in a casual setting

Tl,dr: Raid days are Saturday & Sunday, ~20:00 - 23:00. We are looking for Healers of all kinds, especially shamans and druids, but also hunters and warlocks.

Animals started as an idea in Anniversary Hardcore, where the necessity to trust in your fellow players and the comradery from frequent and repeated levelling created a socially relaxed but competent environment. Having found this lacking throughout most of WoW, we are now aiming to bring this to Softcore TBC and to cater to like-minded people.

We are looking for friendly, social people who recognize that the fun of the game is in social interaction, while still aiming to experience raid content. Veterans looking for an old-school progress raiding experience and newcomers to WoW, Raiding or TBC in particular are welcome! Expect wiping and repeated explanations.

What you should bring to the table:

  • A friendly, helpful personality and patience for those less or more experienced than you.
  • A thick skin in regards to social interactions; don’t flinch from (perceived) confrontation and don’t be a drama queen. Recognize that miscommunication is often the source of conflict, and try to resolve it.
  • This should go without saying but don’t be crass, racist or sexist. Respect boundaries.
  • Willingness to teach and learn.

What we offer:

  • A leadership looking to enforce a comfortable, conflict-free environment. We have some raiding experience, though this is, by today’s standards, outdated.
  • A casual raiding experience where wiping is okay and expected. We would love to have a lot of first-time raiders climb the mountain of WoW raiding with us. We are in no rush to clear everything week one.
  • Consumables are non-mandatory (but feel free to use them if you wish). Given the post-nerf state of content, we don’t feel that consumables are necessary. Neither is an optimal composition or spec. Wiping and learning is part of the fun. Play what and how you want!
  • We will be using a home-brewed loot distribution system that we call PityRoll, a simple rolling system that adds a pity value to your roll based on how unlucky you have been previously. No DKP, no Loot Council, no SR. Just show up and roll on your items!
  • Participation in leadership: We will raidlead if needed, but are open to giving out roles with responsibility. Note that we are not looking for competence alone here, but competence and trustworthiness in addition to all other criteria listed in this post. Feedback and suggestions for improvement are encouraged.
  • Full transparency in loot distribution and guild bank spendings, with feedback and suggestions from and discussions with you.

We are planning to raid Saturday and Sunday evenings (~20:00 - 23:00 ST), with TK and SSC swapping day each week, so that people who are only available one of these days will still get exposure to both dungeons.

Feel free to contact us ingame if you are interested or have questions!

EDIT4: We’re looking to stock up our roster for P2. Healers are in high demand! Shamans and druids in particular, and a holy paladin wouldn’t go amiss either. Hunters and Warlocks may also find a place.

As of week 2 phase 2 we have cleared 10/10.

Hi

We are a mage and a priest looking for a for a cozy, friendly, not-too-crowded but active TBC guild. We play wow since we were teenagers (classic) and we want to enjoy tbc again in a chilled environment. We have jobs we have kids so only limited time for playing and raiding. We want to have fun in open world, bg’s and dungeons. Raiding is currently not a priority at least for one of us (mage).

Would be nice to hear from you or I try to catch you ingame

Cheers

Auranoire and Vaelthariel

Guild Application — Grumpyzit (Feral Druid DPS/OT)

Character: Feral Druid
Faction: Horde
Server: Thunderstrike (EU‑PvE)
Roles: Off‑Tank (main) / Feral DPS or Boomkin (off‑spec)

About Me

Hey! I’m Grumpyzit, a returning player who’s rediscovering TBC with fresh eyes. I’m a father of three, so my schedule revolves around family life — helping with the kids, cooking, cleaning, and keeping the house running smoothly. Because of that, most of my gaming time is on weekends, and I always give advance notice if something unexpected comes up.

I’m looking for a guild that understands real‑life responsibilities while still enjoying steady progression and a good atmosphere.

Role & Playstyle

I’m a flexible Feral who enjoys Off‑Tanking as my main role, with DPS or Boomkin as my off‑spec depending on what the raid needs (Prefebally melee dps :D). I like being the kind of player who fills gaps, supports the team, and adapts to the encounter.

Experience

My TBC experience includes:

  • Karazhan

  • Zul’Aman

  • Gruul’s Lair

  • Magtheridon

I’m a returning player, and while I did a lot of PvP back in the day, I treat PvE as brand new — which means I come in with curiosity, humility, and a willingness to learn.

What I Value in a Guild

  • Friendly, welcoming atmosphere

  • Zero toxicity

  • Mature players

  • Consistent raid schedule

  • Leadership that communicates clearly

  • A place where people enjoy playing together, not just parsing

What I Bring to the Team

  • Consistency and reliability

  • A positive attitude

  • Full preparedness (enchants, consumes, tactics)

  • Flexibility between roles

  • Solid class knowledge

  • Willingness to help others and contribute to the guild’s success

I always come prepared, but I also appreciate having room to grow — learning new strategies, improving execution, and refining tactics as a team.

Loot Philosophy

I’m not a drama person. I prefer guilds with a clear loot and reward system, where expectations are transparent and everyone feels treated fairly. Structure keeps things smooth and avoids unnecessary tension.

Closing

I’m looking for a stable Horde guild that raids mainly on weekends, values maturity and teamwork, and could use a flexible Feral who’s ready to contribute. If that sounds like your community, I’d love to talk and see if we’re a good fit.

Thanks for reading!
Grumpyzit
