Haranir - Expansion Highlight?

After playing around with the Haranir, I wanted to share some feedback on their animations and overall presentation. Some areas feel unpolished and could use extra attention before release

Key issues:

  • The animations appear to reuse the Night Elf rig, which makes them feel overly familiar and somewhat dated (migraine wraith cast)

  • Transitions between animations, such as jumping and going back to idle, have noticeable fades that break the flow

  • The male run cycle is identical to the male Night Elf’s, which has always looked terrible, please dont give M Haranir the same treatment

  • Druid forms (especially cat, bear and ground travel) look unnatural when moving or turning, making them feel completely disconnected to the ground. When rotating the camera during combat, the models slide rather than adjust their footing.

Positive notes:

  • The range of customisation options is excellent and clearly had a lot of effort put into it

  • The overall concept of the race is strong and has great visual potential

Suggestions:

  • Consider adjusting or refining the rig to give the Haranir more distinct movement and personality.

  • Smooth out animation transitions to improve the overall feel of motion.

  • Review their Druid form/s movement to ensure they respond naturally to player input

It feels completely backwards to throw their obvious higher quality visual design onto a decade+ rig which has been a large complaint within the playerbase. A bit more attention in this area could really make them stand out as a unique and polished addition to the game.
