Has Blizzard dropped other race-specific neighborhoods?

Originally, it was said that there would also be other race-specific neighborhoods, for example, ones suited for dwarves, night elves, blood elves, etc.

But that was a long time ago, and we haven’t heard anything more about it, which unfortunately leads one to suspect that the idea has been scrapped.

Because it would be nice to have more neighborhoods—just so it fits with the characters—and because variety

Housing hasn’t even been out a year yet.
This is an evergreen system that they expect to last as long as the game does.
Updates will come out in dribs and drabs, A whole new neighbourhood is only likely for a new expansion.

I mean, yeah taht right but look what tehy already changes, like more endovors, incresing the housing limits significantly, more larger houses, fixed the outside lightning..
All anncound over time, but new neigborhood, nothing.
Abolute nothing, and thas odd.
and thus the fear treduce or srapp it- like the Og idead with different locations for your garrison

Why don’t you @ the team lead in Boston and ask about it?
Or just like hang on till Blizzcon which is 2 months away and where BIG announcements get made.

Also i wanna address some of your other points.
The new Endeavours are coming with the 12.1 patch, the first major patch of the expansion. makes sense to add them now.
Housing limits/lighting/house sizes were all restricted at the start for server load monitoring. As they see what the servers can handle they loosen the rope a little.

Originally, it was also assumed that neighborhoods would be phased instances like the garrisons, located or more replacing “Forest’s Edge” in Elwynn or some unspecified area in Azshara respectively.

I don’t like the Horde biome and I do hope we’ll get more in the future.

We will probably get new ones the next expantion. An so on as they prepare them. The feature is still very new and lots of things to add still such as guild halls.

RN what we need is more styles such as forsaken, pandaren, draenei etc. And we will get 2 more soon.

I wish we had Eversong and Bel’ameth neighborhoods.

They would match already existing house exteriors.

Also I hope if we get new neighborhoods in the future we won’t be forced to level them again from level 1. Maybe some kind of one time relocation service when you transfer your house XP between different neighborhoods or they should groups neighborhoods like

1. Horde

2. Alliance

3. Neutral

and any activity selected for 1 group levels all houses in it.

You level your house not the neighbourhood.

I mean it would be nice if in the distant future when there would be 2 or more same faction neighborhoods, for example both Razorwind Shores and potentially added Eversong -themed they would share house level earned with endeavor exp not only exp earned from collected decor. In other words I hope house exp would be faction shared - all horde houses share exp/lvl and all alliance houses do the same.

I mean that’s exactly how the system works.
The haven’t made any indication that more properties are coming in the future, only Neighbourhoods.

I’d love a more night elf type neighbourhood. My velf has a night elf style house and I’ve hidden it by the graveyard in the woods because it sticks out like a sore thumb amongst all the human alliance style houses!

Oooh~ I second that. Because it would be the perfect opportunity to get a third plot, where we can try out all fancy stuff without deleting rooms or exteriors, that came out pretty good. Unless of course that layout saving thingy comes without any flaws.

We need to be able to have acces house per race character. Because hoarding this much housing items from all races has no point and meaning. Another collector hamster like mounts and pets.

To make it more simple

We have 2 different biome island

Greener - alliance

Tropical - horde

The good solution could be let the ownership player edit buildings and NPCs like for example :

Setting Sin dorei NPCs and buildings on horde island
Setting Draenei NPCs and buildings on alliance island

I just created the thalassian neutral kingdom of Belore’Thalas with people for blood, void, high and half elves. Indeed we choose horde island for Sin dorei outside skin houses

But we have to suffer of awful orcish building, trolls and forsaken NPCs wandering around

maybe also …

let the ownership decide if the island is horde or alliance… maybe some folks alliance people would prefer a tropical island ??? like the horde one but with NE/Human NPCs and building ?

Maybe my thalassian project would prefer a greener island but with our sin dorei houses ??

The only use I’ve found is theming rooms around them. Otherwise it’s a big hodge podge.

I would like a forsaken undead area personally or gilneas style.

Im thinking to make one room called Big pile of shame and put every collected item from housing in it like hoarder room since it is after all

I agree, island expedition approach is a good idea.

However, there are already plenty of zones that can work for both horde and alliance.
For example, gilneas can work for worgen/human, on the one hand, and for undead, on the other. Since pve/pvp is almost faction-less, indeed why not a human+worgen+undead neighborhood?
There is even a nelf/goblin zone (azshara).

But furthermore, the whole idea of factions was important back in 2006, when you had to level and pvp your way through faction land.
Now in 2026 people ding with their level boost, included in the latest expansion, and level together on a new neutral island.
So frankly there shouldnt be any faction discussion at all, we hadnt had a faction divide since BFA tbh.

But even furthermore, now that we are in this situation, where we have one neighborhood for alliance, and one neighborhood for horde, and the alliance neighborhood has the undead biom for some reason, and both are starter zones…
now that we are in this situation and blizzard has said loud and clear creating more than a couple of neighborhood per expansion is too much work for them - and no promises they will commit to this…
now that we are in this situation its clear we are not getting all the location options people choose.
like blizzard are not going to build 10 hoods for all options people really want (top 10 of which likely DONT include elwynn forest)
now that we are in this situation blizzard really should just sell us doors in existing NPC hubs.

inside of people houses dont match outside anyway
and most people take space in neighborhoods, but dont actually go there
resulting in ghost neighbourhoods
so if they had doors in cities instead
we would have neighborhoods comprised of people who specifically want a neighborhood, not just a house.
people who dont want a neighborhood just get a door in some city.

Its extremely cheap, and you can spawn doors anywhere at any time. The cost is so low for blizzard, you can even spawn a player house door in loam if you want.
