Heirlooms, requierments to get them?

I have recruited someone to wow, and was just wondering what the requierments for heirlooms are? Been a while since i got mine

@Larahna: Quite a few of them are simply available for purchase with gold, in the case of the alliance, in Ironforge.

I think you need friendly with the guild for most of the guild ones. Some require an achievement.
