Anyways I was buying some materials on the Auction House earlier today and read a short debate of how it’s possible for the Horde to allow High elves into their ranks, especially if they are “employed” by the rest of Silvermoon.
As the debate went on, some players pointed out that Lor’themar could allow them to live in the city and operate as scouts, spies and even privateers, but if they were previously nobles, they would be stripped of their titles, turning them into commoners. But what do you think? Does this make sense to you?
I think Lor’themar definately has that authority but until we see something happen explicitely in game its safest to assume that that’s not whats happening so unless anyone can point at actual lore or something that happens ingame to give that claim substance, well.. claims raised without proof can be dismissed without proof right?
Helves from Silver Covenant bascially capitulated to Lor’themar. They both with Sunreavers ceased to be and came to conclusion that they cannot afford to fight one another anymore.
Their goal now is to fully integrate with rest of Thalassian population and conform to them. They will no longer take part in any politics and limit themselves to take up arms only when world ending threats arrive.
Basically should ever another hostilities between Alliance and the Horde ignite again, neither ex-Covenant or ex-Sunreavers will take part in that conflict. But if Azeroth or Quel’thalas will be in immediate danger, then they will mobilize.
It’s going to be interesting to see what happens when eventually another alliance vs horde conflict comes around. Normally we almost always see high elf representation in some capacity. I wonder if that will continue as normal, or will the story account for that and no longer show them as active participants.
It will be odd if we see them directly engaged against blood elf forces in the future but, as far as I can tell the new Silversun compact doesn’t prevent that type of situation from still happening. The wording just makes it seem like there’s a ceasefire come some world ending threat. The same sort of situation applies to the void elves too.
Maybe giving them embassies rather than fully reintegrating them back gives more wiggle room for those types of situations to still occur.
