On the contrary. I think if you hold this position as somebody LGBTQ+ then you most likely are somebody who hasn’t faced the same injustices as people who live in countries or communities where being openly LGBTQ+ can carry dire consequence.

Your sexual preference or whatever IRL shouldn’t matter. I’ve seen gay peoples play straight characters, females playing male characters and straights playing gay/bi characters.

Being LGBT does not mean you cannot be (or be accused of) homophobia.
There are many people out there with internalised homophobia and, because of the ease of their own lives, assume any LGBT person who complains about their own treatment must be hysterical and/or sensitive.
