Homophobia in roleplay needs to cease

Is this why like half of the US republican senators who are so incredibly anti-LGBTQ+ always end up in a scandal that they were hooking up with the water-cooler delivery guy or something?

Well, I don’t see homophobia in my day to day life, and as a result, it clearly does not exist, nobody can possibly suffer from it, and everyone should just accept the clearly calm and peaceful life that they so obviously have. Especially people in Russia, or the Middle East.

Also I, as a white person, have never faced issues of systemic racism, hence that must be a myth too! Man, the world is such a lovely place.

Ever wondered why “she” only ever slides into your DMs to talk about scented body sprays?

At last, you truly see…

Wasn’t Ted Cruise caught on his google search looking for a specific kind of video to watch once?

“How to hide a body”, most likely.

So whether you want to call the strife between other playable races(species) or conflicts within the same species as racism in the context of WoW it is accurate all the same.

Deflection and overcompensating, yeah. If I argue that homosexuals should be re-educated, no one will ever suspect me of doing anything with other men myself.

Wouldnt surprise me at all, since this is a regularly occuring thing with these guys.

And in a way I feel bad for them, since they are very obviously incredibly deep in their closet & struggling with their identities. But it also doesnt excuse them taking it out on others.

Is this why two of the virtues of the Church of the Holy Light teaches its followers to look past the hatred that separates them to find and acknowledge traits in them that you respect, which quite literally states it brings one closer to the Light? And that one should also look past these hatreds and understand what similarities you and your enemy have, so that you might feel compassion for them?

It’s almost always projection.

Hence why Krusty over here is so insistent on framing people as caricatures ‘getting worked up’ when people ask to not be abused on something they play explicitly for the purpose of escapism from the often cruel real world.

It’s how reactionaries roll - blindly react with vitriol, and then project that hypersensitivity onto your opponents.

Right-wing regressives tend to screech about “liberal snowflakes”, while there’s this massive cognitive dissonance given that they scream and cry over homosexuals wanting nothing more than equal rights. In terms of current events, we can also apply this to perspectives like: “wearing a mask to protect the health of those around me is inconstitutional facism!”

I think this is most likely based on characters like Garithos, or the sadly numerous DEUS VULT crusader paladins characters who frankly bore me to tears and make me want to walk away from any roleplay involving them.

But yeah, in-game and in-lore there’s not that much discrimination from light-wielders that I personally know of. For example, the NPC in Stormwind cathedral is pretty uncomfortable if you walk in there as a void elf and questions your intentions somewhat, but it’s not as if he barrs access to it or anything of the sorts.

Love it when angry regressives make a straw man out of a thread where we’ve mostly reasonably discussed the topic among ourselves (and responded to some very angry homophobes) in an effort to assert that we’re the dramatic ones – and not, for example, the furious dwarf who started copy-pasting from /pol/.

I have my suspicions about who that dwarf really is since he took his buisness elsewhere and started to try and throw shade at people for working at a burger place. Something I’ve only seen one specific poster do before in my entire forum history.

Go on, don’t keep the goss to yourself.

Excuse me, Loras, this is the anti-homophobia thread in which we celebrate gay culture.

I believe what you meant to say was “spill the tea, sis.”

I don’t like that because I hate spilling tea, my British sensibilities get inflamed
