Mythic raiding is not meant for the vast majority of players. Do you guys even think before you talk? It’s supposed to be difficult and not heroic+. The first 4 bosses this tier were arguably easier than ansurek heroic. What more do you want? The difficulty is for the skilled playerbase, not for the majority. You create a game for all skill levels and not only the majority. You have heroic, normal, m+ 2-10 (which is incredibly easy) and the first 4 mythic bosses this tier. Let us have atleast something. The entitlement of the community is hilarious.
Back in the day the vast majority of the playerbase wouldn’t even set foot into TK, BT, SWP, ulduar HM, totgc, or icc heroic. Stop the cap.
Btw I have no problem with that. Main reason being that being in a CE guild that raids just 2 times a week and takes most of the patch to clear the raid, gear is the last thing that i care for in mythic (meaning that the achievement/progression >>> gear drops).
Might need some changes for the progression system, like having the myth track drop from heroic, just so that people can upgrade their gear across the season (and gearing does not stop in 4 weeks).
Just a correction for that, late heroic bosses (last boss for example) is already harder than the first 3-4 bosses on mythic, so you will have to better pinpoint how hard you want it to be.
But as I said, I only care for gear to progress mythic, so I wouldn’t mind getting all my upgrades from heroic and spending the patch farming crests to upgrade said items, instead of waiting for rng/vault from mythic bosses. Worst case you can have heroic drop 1/X myth track items, and mythic drop the 1+Y/X myth track items, so that players clearing mythic just get to the max ilvl faster.
you can make mythic raid give more loot and cosmetics, but heroic be the gear CAP.
its dumb to exclude the majority of your playerbase from the MAIN activity in your game.
It’s dumb to balance the highest difficulty around the majority of the playerbase. That’s why it’s the highest difficulty, because it’s not meant for the majority.
You only exclude yourself by crying instead of improving.
mythic is not getting removed? its still there for the best raiders to do.

and i know there is ALOT of players like me.
blizzard can do what they want but i feel its a mistake to tune the only raid worth doing so insanely tight that the best players and guilds in the world wipe 300 times on end bosses.
raiding is less popular then ever for a reason.

i dont think you understand that no one wants to remove mythic raiding.
its not about improving, its about not wanting to INVEST your life into being a mythic raider. its simply way to hardcore for most people to even bother.
and yes mythic raiding being THIS hard and basically the only gear worth raiding for is a BIG reason why raiding is less popular than ever.

Roughly 1,6k guilds killed ansurek mythic. That’s average and the raid is average difficulty. This isn’t amirdrassil. So stop talking nonesense.
Then bring it back to Aberrus levels of ilvl. It was still „only“ 8% of guilds who got CE, while it was the 2nd easiest raid in the history of mythic raiding. Mythic ilvl / gear and % of guilds who get CE stand in no correlation.

Stop lying and check the numbers. It’s your average mythic raid. Ovinax was a huge problem, but not due to difficulty. Such a WA boss should never exist. But that is a different topic.
In name only. Technically it came already with WotLK because what we call Mythic today whas previously Heroic. With SoO there came a new difficulty called Flex which whas scaled arround player count but through the bank just between LfR and NHC.
With WoD Pre-Patch the Scaling whas also implemented to Normal and the whole difficulties where just renamed.
So Heroic whas further called Mythic, Normal whas further called Heroic and Flex whas further called Normal. So basically with WotLK Raids became even harder but since SoO Raids became easier as whole.
