How gear reliant is Brewmaster?

I play healer almost everytime, but id like to branch into tanking again like I did in legion. How important is gear for brewmaster in normal raids and low m+ (between 4-8)?

Would i be crippled in healer gear or would i be grand

Get an agi weapon then you will be fine.
Well, anyway, I wouldnt personally run around with an intellect staff.

You will be fine otherwise. I healed 335-340 bm monk through tyrannical +10 dungeon before, stagger is op.
