The main problem here is that the Azerite grind in the beginning was hyper inflated to the point where only the most nolife could actually make use of their Azerite gear, and then Blizzard just made it super easy to grind. To these people, it feels like there was no reward. Read what the dear alliance night elf said, and use your brain.

Catch up systems exist to make NEW people able to play the game plus to allow existing players to make alts or reroll.
Now if you think thats not fair to you, nobody cares because an endless swarm of people gets benefit from it while you can just sit there sad.

This game always had catch up systems, no matter night elf forum warrior tears xD

Counter arguement for account wide essences is people spend time and effort to unlock them and it would be unfair for people to get it without doing anything

you get it very wrong. Essences cant be account wide because they are part of character power progression, same way rings or belts cant be account wide.

One thing is having catch up mechanic every expansion, what is being release every 1-2 years. Other thing is getting your progressions nullified every couple off months. That is way too short lifespan for MMORPG.

I’m paying for the same product as everyone else but someone who skipped start of the xpac has no problem while someone who skipped a patch has major problem.

One thing is having catch up mechanic every expansion, what is being release every 1-2 years. Other thing is getting your progressions nullified every couple off months. That is way too short lifespan for MMORPG.

It’s been like this kinda forever, every new tier basically nullified the preivous aside very few very specific items.
The only difference is the gap is more pronounced now than in the past because of the powercreep.

In this case Blizz have tried to be fair to players coming into the expansion later on and you think that’s not fair. You’ve had time to use whatever you got before them so I don’t see the problem.

This is alt nowadays, my main is pretty much fine while this alt is doing ok-ish.
Im playing around 2-3 hours at worst case scenario unless im raiding.

My alt monk is over 80 by doing weekly island, 1 emissary per day and a weekly dungeon. Thats it, pushing hard to make it to 80 in no time was is and will always be something i cant do my friend.

Just stop whining AKA stop being a nelf, the catch up was pretty much awesome all the times it was implemented. The worst thing was and is the essences that you didnt talk about. My main Priest got to 70 in 5 days by doing questline and a few emissaries.

Now even reading the whole thing again as i did before youre clearly making zero sense, probably because your main intention is to whine regardless of a problem existence. But hey the endless swarm that been through that problem is ok, you are just too nelf-way special right? xD

What are you talking about ? I did talk about essences. As i understand atm you can’t really get the point even after you read it. All i did was writing my experience from start to now and asking an essence catch up. You kinda prooved you didn’t read or understand what i said atm because you are talking about the same thing as me.
Sorry to say that but i don’t rp and i have no idea about how playing night elf is considered an insult on your community…

I completely understand what you wrote there and it is irrelevant with the topic.

So do they and now they still are. Essences are the system of a prev patch not the current one. While this is a thing , during 8.1 no one really had any issue with 8.0 's grind because of the catch up. My point is while i get being hardly punished for not playing a prev patch , no one started at 8.2 had any issue playing 8.2. Now those essences are making me unable to play other characters.
Essence grind is 2 months worth of questing and as a returning player i recently did that grind (still missing ep and honor essence).
If you still having hard times understanding what you read i’m gonna write it again this time without telling a story or comparing anything to others.
