I can’t see the humans fitting in with the Horde. The most very basic premis of the game is Orc and Friends vs Humans and Friends.
Alterac Humans betrayed the Alliance in warcraft 2 for their own safety. Even their banner had a Horde symbol.
Yet after Warcraft 2, they became hostille to both sides (more so towards the Alliance)
The only humans in the horde are dead to me.
With all seriousness… are there any living survivors of the Old Horde that invaded Azeroth in the first place?
If not - after all, 30+ years passed and the orcs lifspan isn’t that long, especially, the Old Horde backbones were kids, artifically grown to adult by Gul’dan dark magic with a pinch of real veteran fighters, so they were just tossed in the meat grindder so to speak with 0 chance of survival, and god knows the side effects of that dark magic they were infused in the first place - then every chest banging, muh honor yelling greeskin are… camp-survivors and escapeese. Sure, they carry some of the Old Horde’s burden with them, but blaming them for the crimes of the Old Horde is pointless at least
They hav their own sins and crimes, true, but aside those… no real reason a Human (especially from the younger generation) to hate them, or the Tauren, heck or even the Trolls for that matter
Humans lost many things during the wars, firends, home, family, kingdoms… its a miracle they not all became disillusioned nihilistic, opportunistic mercenarries, who could find a new home and life in the Horde… Stormwind is nice and all, but whats about the rest of the Human kingdoms? Ruined, destroyed, sacked… and Stormwind never really was in the position to help them.
For every destroyed village, family, there are survivors… and those survivor can’t even dare to dream in the life in the Big City… the cold harsh reality is: the shinging beacon of Humanity couldn’t save nor help them… and the old way of life is gone.
And the Horde is all about banding together to survive in a world where you lost everything, your friends, your family, your home, your planet? Your future…
So actually Humans joining the Horde wouldn’t be even the top 10 strangest things IMHO
