I am writing this ticket to express my deep frustration regarding the current state of the Hunter class, and I want to ask plainly: When will Hunters finally be properly fixed?
I am a dedicated player who invests a significant amount of time into this game and performs at a high level. However, playing a Hunter has completely stopped being enjoyable, and it has reached a point where it is causing nothing but stress.
Here are the critical issues that desperately need to be addressed:
-
Extreme Fragility & Lack of Survivability: Even when we rotate and use our defensives perfectly, we take significantly more damage than almost every other class. In higher keys, the incoming damage is so overtuned for us that healers simply cannot keep up with our health pools. We are incredibly squishy, and a single mistake from the team or an unmitigable mechanic means instant death for us.
-
The Unplayable Marksmanship Rework: The recent MM rework has forced the spec into an incredibly static playstyle. Being forced to stand still for so long in high Mythic+ keys—where constant movement is mandatory—makes the spec completely stressful and unrewarding to play. It feels fundamentally broken in the current dungeon design.
-
Forced Ranged-to-Melee Meta: Because MM is in such a terrible, clunky state, the only viable option left with competitive damage is Survival. But why should I be forced to play a melee spec just because it’s “meta,” when I picked this class to play as a ranged DPS?
Right now, nobody wants to invite Hunters to groups unless a team is absolutely desperate for Bloodlust. This isn’t a simple MOBA where you just swap characters every patch based on a shifting meta; this is an MMORPG where we invest months into our main characters.
I love this game and I know how to play my class well, but I am gaining absolutely zero enjoyment from it right now. How much longer do we have to be patient? When can we expect real, meaningful changes to our survivability and talent designs so we can actually enjoy the game again?
I look forward to a serious response regarding the future of our class.
