LOL yes the problem is I am a boomer
Try not to play casters or evoker and aim towards specs like BM/Fury/Dh/demo they are a lot easier to play and you dont have to really look around at stuff untill higher ratings they are much easier to pick up and you dont need to use half of your kit untill you face better players as evoker you are going to need to use your entire kit even in lower ratings specs to avoid are mage / affliction / destro / evoker/ rogue/ spriest/ druid/ shaman.
Hey FleshWerk which class do you play out of interest?
Do you think a frost mage could work or still high skill cap?
frost mage is harder than evoker especially for solo queue you want to avoid it.
I think people like me (hovering between 1800 - 2400 in 2s) are in a better place to give you advice rather than multiglads. Obviously they are better but perhaps their advice is more suited for people trying to breakthrough that 2400-2500 barrier. Anywho.
You are playing a caster so you already made it a bit difficult for yourself compared to a melee class. You have to fake cast, kite etc. which requires a bit more skill than say a DH going zugzug.
Still though, to solve your issues, i would suggest playing 2v2 with a healer and not caring if you lose the game or not.
For example lets say you have tunnel vision issues; instead of looking at your character look at others. Dont mind the damage you are taking or you are doing. Just try to get into that habbit of looking around; who is doing what. If you are in a mind state of โoh god, i have to do damage, look at dmg metter this guy is 2xing me, i gotta do more dmgโ then you are just giving yourself more reasons to tunnel vision.
For the 2nd bullet I would suggest using an addon like gladitorlossa. It calls out opponent important spells (and you can add or remove additional spells) like offensive cooldowns.
4th bullet: Playing solo shuffle is not a good way to get better. 2 DPS on you as a caster; at this stage, you are just gonna panic and press everything. A 2v2 enviroment would be slower and help you focus more on improving yourself.
6th: ? xD
Overall; play a class like Fury or DH or maybe Demo Lock. Tanky, can stand on its own for a while, has a fairly simple DPS rotation and what not. This will help you panic less and figure things out.
You have tunnel vision? Play DH or Fury
This is a great response thank you I will try to observe more rather than try to win the match
this char iโm posting on. Also play DK, and casually have all classes and played pvp on them at some point.
Also, you donโt need to track ALL cds players pop. For starter, until you get used to tracking stuff: There is the PvP Trinket. The big burst cd. The big defensive cd.
Start with these 3 on each class. Then you can add more when you are comfortable.
Good idea! I saw this addon where big cooldowns appeared in massive letters on the screen. I think it was on Arrow Assassin Gaming.
get gladius ex and omnibar = helps A LOT
