My friend had the mount recipe on box number 3, i am hard grinding just got my 10th box and no recipe, blizz this system is crap.
All rares + world quests every day i can neat x1 paragon each week but it’s still insane grind.

I’m not a fan of the paragon system, nor the protoform synthesis mount/pet crafting sytem.
When you should be done with a reputation this seems to be a way to keep you grinding it even though we’re exalted. I don’t like it.

Protoform synthesis is a joke i got everything from that u can grind that out, paragon u can’t.
I even had my both lihuvim materials from grinding ola caches so u can grind everything from it, paragon is just pain 
I dislike the grind, there is nothing more boring than just killing mobs for genesis motes. I don’t see it wholly different from paragon grinds which is doing dailies, killing everything that gives rep, using contracts etc. It’s just inane to have to keep grinding beyond exalted IMO.
I see no difference between PFS and Paragon system. They are both just make you play metrics.

If i could grind paragon boxes sure i be fine with that but i can’t
I guess we just don’t agree, to me they are the same boring grind that Blizzard needs to scale back on.

Well i am hardcore mount farmer maybe u not, just saying i like to grind stuff but when it’s gated its not fun.
I hate PFS system and prefer Korthia over ZM anyday for mounts. I have all the Korthia mounts.

I am fine when you get those mounts in 2 or 3 paragons, but for the legion ones i got my last paragon 3 months before BFA ended…

Yeah I had a similar experience. I can’t remember if it as Aszuna or Val’sharah one that gave me the most trouble. I had the Drake from Stormheim and the Carpet from Suramar many times

It’s not a good system IMO to have any paragon mounts and they get the most complaints, whether it’s a recipe or an actual mount. I would personally prefer it to be on a vendor, the QM at exalted.
*Edit to add, there is so much in this paragon as well, feels awful

Cosmetics u can buy not a big deal
Hopefully the move to using the renown system rather than the reputation system in Dragonflight means that paragon caches won’t be returning.
I much prefer protoform synthesis over relying on RNG drops from rares you can only loot once per day/week (per character). I think locking some schematics and reagents behind paragon caches, weekly quests and raiding was a mistake, but otherwise I’m happy with how the system worked and would love to see it return in some form in future expansions.
Some days I didn’t feel like grinding anything towards getting the mounts, so I didn’t. Other days I felt like doing a lot, so I did. That is a system I will always prefer over one where I have to do something every day otherwise I’ve missed out on chances to actually obtain the reward.

I’ve been buying the pets from the PFS because I hate that system. As I’m still needing stuff from the paragon itself I see no point in buying the cosmetics.
U need to craft 50 stuff for achiv, i did not buy a pet i crafted em all
It was changed for players like you who dislike the RNG nature of rare farming. I’m just someone who wasn’t pleased with the change because for me it’s the WORST type of gameplay. I just wish it had been done more 50/50 so it had both systems. I have all the drop mounts because killing a rare once a day/loot chests is much easier than expecting me to grind mobs endlessly.
I do understand that some prefer this system. I just hate it.
A friend just watches stuff on another monitor. I’ve never mastered doing that. I either watch or play
But hey i don’t do mythic+ or raid, all i do is open world stuff
Ofc i get the mount from mythic+ but that’s it.
