But more and more often I come across these weird elitist enforcing imaginary laws in order to control what’s allowed and what’s not. I hate to see more and more of these kinds of people popping up trying choke one of the most epic server communitys around.
Let fun be fun and keep being awesome Argnet-Dawn EU!

I was expecting something far worse with regards what was being told to you in that screenshot - doesn’t really seem like a big deal to me. I don’t care too much for the whole argument this relates to, but did that line - which comes across as a fairly polite request to me - really warrant a thread?

I get you, fools can come up with the most redicilous restrictions on their fellow RP’er, like what weapons a certain race can and can’t use.
But your example although a good point, comes with its own backage of a disruptive nature in sessions of RP, I reckon whoever made the demand to keep OOC out, did so either by instinct or frustrations of people that does disrupt.

It’s actually pretty sensible to say “dont OOC chat in public areas”.
It can be really disruptive to roleplay when random nonsense fills the chat specifically for roleplay. You already have whispers, General, Battle.tag whisper, party, raid or /guild for OOC chat.

I have never been a fan of gatekeeping.
But not too sound skeptical i feel like there is more story too the image you gave.
Poor Bwonsamdi.

Being politely asked to stop doing something is a serious imposition it seems.

I am not sure what is “weird”, “elitist” or “imaginary” about this “law”.
Smells like a bait post.

Honestly kind of amazed that someone unironically posted a call-out thread over being asked (in incredibly bland terms) to not spam emotes and xDDD lol : P tier dialogue in /say
IDK what you thought the response would be

I see what you’re all comming from, I might be missing the entire context of the whole exchange, since I just came into the hub seeing poor Bwons being assaulted by purple, and yellow doing one of those memes. But it all looked to be with no I’ll intent. It was more the bitter reacton that really got to me.
(Sorry if the post rubbed you the wrong way)
-man that is beating up a loa.
Absolutely based telling off tbh
OOClets in /s or /e =

Accursed roleplayers want to take away my freedom…

Yea, I mean, don’t OOC in public channels.

Yeah this is pretty bad.
They should have whispered them that, as /e is also a public facing channel.

That is adorable, if that /e comment had been something else these mighty defenders would be up in arms about someone doing OOC in /e but nah, we give this one a pass.
I agree with the person wanting no OOC in spatial channels.
I disagree with them OOCing it through /e. should have whispered politely!

This reminds me of the Always Sunny episode where someone shushes them in a bar for being too loud and they spend the entire episode passive-aggressively trying to get back at the shusher, all while covering up their actual gripe with a series of increasingly complicated excuses for their own behaviour.
Smacks teeth.
Atleast he didnt “Lol” and “:)” in /s like someone who rolled on the wrong server I guess…

Just find it odd to make a whole topic on forums because someone said one sentence to the OP. I would suggest investing into a at least +5 thicker skin, might help in the long run!
