I sent 285 crafting order but item I receive is 259 and crests are gone. Master Rank craft all best materials.
A personal crafting order or a public one? The latter is entirely random and doesn’t have a minimal quality while the former can set a minimal quality if your mats and stuff can reach it including conc.
Hey Saneko tyvm for the kind answer and Magiola mocking people without having actual understanding of the problem is so cringe. Yes, I’ve givena personal order. When I reach the NPC and check “My Orders” section I do see the order as a personal, max rank , 285 ilvl one. Also contacted the crafter and he validates the information. Still no response.
@Magiola Neither constructive nor helpful. Another player in our guild is at the same position rn. Crests are gone and item is still 259 although crafting order shows and crafting done as 285. W8ing for an update

What? My initial response was literally confirming that it should never have happened regardless of the type of order, thus this is an unacceptable bug.

Yes, the item was a 259 Aln’hara Cane which I used 80 vet crests to craft. I’ve added +80 myth crests and sent it for recraft. Actually after this bug, since we had to raid, I’ve sent it for craft again and I have received a 285 ilvl staff but my 80 crests for first crafting order are completely gone and I am playing the game and competing with others in a unjust environment with the hope of Blizzard somehow fixing this and sending me back my 80 crests.

This message is mainly aimed at the dev team. Could we get some form of update on this issue?
I’m hesitant to recraft as the issue might occur again leaving me out of 160 myth crests. I understand that an ETA for the fix is a tough ask but it’d be nice if we could get some confirmation that we will (or won’t) be getting the crests back or if we will be compensated with receiving the correct item.
I’m noticing it’s setting quite a few people back in their raiding experience as we’re competing with people who did the same thing we did but got lucky and got their big 285 weapon craft.

The dev team don’t read the EU forums.
They don’t even read the US forums very often, apparently.
Its also extremely rare they give updates on bugs, and they NEVER give ETA’s on fixes, because then players get aggro when the ETA is missed.

We have seen some reports of this recently, and we’re currently investigating this issue. We don’t have much more information to share right now unfortunately, but it’s unlikely that we’ll be able to restore the crests that were lost.

Checking in with an update on this one.
We’ve been working on it since it first started happening, and it was due to a very rare (and hard to reproduce) bug. Last night, we fixed the bug so that this should not happen again for anyone.
We’re now moving on to determining what we can do, if anything, to identify affected players and provide some sort of restoration. We do not have any answers to that question, but we’re hopeful about it.
We’ll let you know once we’ve got an update on the possible next step.

I made a personal recrafting with highest possible quality and get the same bug where I received a 259 item when the order was for a 285 and my crests are now gone.
How did you make a 259 Aln’hara with 80 vet crests? The Aln’hara Cane is a spark weapon and its 259 default without crests. The only crests which can be used on it are hero (273) and myth (285).
If you crafted the weapon with 80 vet crests its a non-spark weapon and it would have been 247 not 259. And you would not have been able to put in myth crests in the recrafting order.
I dont have any stake in this, im just trying to clear up any misunderstanding that might have occured here. Because your explanation of events do not make sense.

He probably misspoke and didn’t realize it doesn’t take crests. The bug is as follows : When you recraft a sparked item, your order looks like you did everything correct for a 285, but it returns the old item, consuming the crests.
So u will restore this but not the missing conquest where u lowerd the price on trinkets and ppl who bough em couple hours before u guys decided to do it without announcement are missin almost 200conq sad, telling me u cant do anything but now on pve stuff for crafting u can
Is there any update on refunds? had same issue yesterday night after it was allegedly “fixed”
Had a same issue yesterday, recrafted “World Tender’s Rootslippers” and “World Tender’s Barkclasp”, and only the barkclasp got upgraded ( Ticket Number: EU103797199 ). So a form a refund or item i wanted upgrade atleast was upgraded.
I did a recraft yesterday with mythic crest and the item came to me max craft 259 and the crests have gone was asked to post here by a gm
I can confirm this bug is still valid as it happened to me today while recrafting bracers from 259 to 285 using 80 mythic crest via personal order. The item came back again as 259 ilvl altough in the personal orders tab it shows that it should be 285. The bug has not bee fixed as Blizzard previously stated.
can we get an update on this I’m ilevel down not wanting to recraft again and 80 crest down!!
