some gm’s probably either need a SERIOUS refresher course in what the hell they’re meant to be doing, or just plain fired and get staff in who can deal with such scenarios. if the events occurred like OP said, then that goes WELL beyond “being sensitive”, and the situation should be escalated. besides, isn’t doxing illegal now? or is that just US?
but yeah, more info is needed. though, im not saying to post it here specifically. a proper GM should be able to deal with this, or put it through the correct channels to get it sorted, legally if need be.
also, aren’t T&E from argent dawn? though i sometimes disagree with their glass half full view of blizzard, i do think they are quite nice and very funny. (even if they wont answer my message on twitch!!)
Sounds to me like you and the people you associate yourself with have overstepped the boundaries of the game world and the real world and have now become victims.
I would advise you and your friend to be wary of who you are sharing your life with. If harassment is taking place in game, Blizzard can and will act upon this. Out with this, if there are compromising ‘doxxed’ photos of you or your friend that have been released without their consent, this is a chargeable offence, reportable to the relevant authorities (country dependent).
If the nature of the harassment is more verbal and external to the game, then I would advise being more selective about the communities you are both involved in.
This does not justify the actions of the other parties, whatsoever they may be.
I was also going to quit, but then decided to make a fresh start guild. We have people from the forums in it… we have all made new alts and I am having so much fun.

On the note of the abuse over at Argent Dawn, I’ve got an alt over there and never seen anything like it. That doesn’t mean your friend isn’t suffering that sort of thing, of course but it’s not endemic. /ignore is always your friend.
Read like they gave personal details out, this is why joining Facebook etc isn’t worth it with online “friends”, ppl you don’t even know. Once you cross this line your opening yourself up. Ppl will abuse it, online bullying is a scourge.

The fact you were so traumatised by this incident you couldn’t raise one finger to take a screenshot? I personally find hard to believe.
I’m not accusing you of anything but it sounds to me like you have been playing with some regulars and got to close, information got leaked some how, and they made it personal which you didn’t like.
If you did offer out personal information I’m sorry but it is your own fault. Anyone using the internet should be aware of this and if not then wake up this is the real world.
I’m truly sorry you experienced this in your time on WoW but frankly coming to forums and posting about it is imo probably the last thing you should consider.
I mean in every single game i’ve ever played,i always end up spaming my Facebook to everyone who call me ‘‘fat-ugly-virgin’’ so they can see im 1.87cm with a motorbike , tattoed sleeve and definetly not fat .

I don’t either, but it’s mostly because some people grow thougher skins than others. Or some people are somewhat clever to not share stuff you’re not fully ok with on social medias, and come crying afterward because it’s being mis-used

Honestly GM’s are so incompetent in Eu realm wide i even wonder why are they even exist if they cannot be reached, everything on the support system is leading for links and you have to use back doors to actualy open a ticket and same goes on the website this leads there and that leads there its like stupid labirinth to finaly finde an open web ticket option or a live chat or even a phone call one… it looks like they dont want us to bother them with issues at all…It just bad. Not to mention they are so limited that basicly there is no point to hier them. US game masters are way cooler, and more helpfull then the EU region ones. They are at least not limited.
I would presonaly suggest you to not leav the game, join the classic game those type of guys will leav the game less then a week anyway, cos they dont have the sens and ability to face the hardness of classic wow.
