OP, if they are spreading information about you that can be considered private information, contact both GM’s and your local officials. Spreading private information is not anymore any kind of “game argument” it is punishable action irl.

I am not really sure what to think of this OP other than you need to get in contact with the civil authorities ASAP if this is genuine because it’s breaking the law in several ways never mind harassment.

Before anyone else assumes I do not know what I am talking about I do all too well there have been some posters here who have said the EU moderators and the GM’s do not help. Could not be any further from the truth because I have been subjected to harassment in game and have had it dealt with the people who caused me these issues and they where NOT on this character but my old main have been dealt with they still remain in the game but to all intents and purposes do not interact with me in any way or even acknowledge my existence for that matter either.

Moving on Doxxing is something the police will do something about they can and will listen to you and act on it if you are in real trouble I have had to report my own issues to them and they will contact Blizzard and see what has happened and have the power to investigate it in full and deal with those responsible.

Also going to add that this to me from an outsiders stand point as I have no characters in use on AD it seems is probably isolated otherwise I am sure what you have said here would have popped up on the forums more frequently than just your post.

Also I am having a hard time understanding why someone would quit this game 45 times as well. Surely if things have been this bad for you it would have made more sense to ignore the offenders make a note of who said what linked what and what came up and then sent a long polite ticket to the GM’s explaining your situation.

You would have been helped for the life of me I do not see how a company like this who has a duty of care to an extent to it’s end users would not react and want to put a stop to it.

I know this because I have had issues on here in the past on the forums and I was contacted when people here became concerned about my well being I am sure that they would do the same for you and your friend in game if indeed the kind of :poop: you had to deal with had been going on.

I find it very hard to take seriously that nothing would be done to stop this by legal action channels being used. So for the love of God please report it all otherwise these people get away with something that is in effect a serious criminal offence. It’s unacceptable and you need to be the one with the guts to put a stop to it.

Sometimes your unlucky and run into players who are convinced everyone and everything around them is there to compensate for their failures IRL.

The same type will actively harass anyone. And if you speak up or if you defend their victims, they will immediately turn on you and start to pore their filth on to you.

I have meet a few, and I’m always surprised why they even bother playing with other real people, because they clearly have zero social skills or consideration for anyone but themselves.

My most recent encounter the person kept harassing me, even after I put his character on ignore. He simply logged on to another and continued his racist and homophobic rant, making death threats and cancer wishes.

Sadly nothing was done about this player, he even encouraged me to report him.
I guess he knew from experience that it’s rarely investigated.

My best suggestion is to move past it, because these kind of people are unavoidable. IRL they are just ordinary Idiots and narcissists hiding behind a screen.

By the end of the day your surrounded by your Online and IRL friends, while they sit alone eating chips.

TLDR:
The only victory they get, is knowing that they have succeeded in putting you down, so rise up! and screw them! and have fun.

Honestly, I wrote that thread with higher levels of arousal tied to anger and similar emotions, hence some phrases were left… unclear. And I like when everything is nicely explained.

Yes, I did quit WoW quite a number of times for a colorful pallette of reasons but honestly, sometimes I even “quit” twice per week due to unpleasant situations, not because I just thought: “well, it’s sunny today, time to stop with WoW, ta ta!” (at that time I felt it would be best defined as truly “quitting” as I uninstalled and truly felt like abandoning the game - and you know, after years of playing you just barely remember the approximate number of quitting and especially the reasons, but I definitely wouldn’t say I exaggerated much, haha).

As for the information… the IRL information of my friend were truly doxxed. They had something going on together so I am pretty sure she has shared her IG with him and they talked a lot via Discord. She did sent some pictures but nothing related to nudity (that’s simply not what she does). Still, if unknown creeps have your face and your name… probably also location and then write you messages for weeks, you feel scared and stressed out immensely. She is merely 16, you can’t blame her for not foreseeing all of it. I mean, who behaves like this?! No doubt this is his “revenge” (probably for feeling rejected, I really did not ask about that but she is never rude) but he was also VERY persistent and unberably offensive (quite candidly: I have never seen anything like that in my entire life. That’s why I wrote the post. It was too much, the usual AD chat is cozy and friendly compared to him.)

Somehow, he also dug up all of my WoW information. What he has managed to spill infront of everyone there just made my jaw drop to the floor (Also because it was rather pathetic of him, let’s be honest, what kind of people brags about PvP rating? I somehow doubt an alright person does that, and if, they certainly do it in a way more acceptable fashion.).

Also, I never explicitly said that it was me who was doxxed anyway, but yes, I understand why most of you took it that way. As I said, I wrote the topic while being under severe stress and needed to take it out, there wasn’t space for being 100% exact about everything.

As someone mentioned above, I truly got messages from people I have NEVER heard of before. When I inspected their names they were miles away, doing some random content, notably M+, that’s what I meant by it. I mentioned it all just to point out how genuinely “random” those people were → he no doubt just wanted me to be flooded with hate spam. Why else would he do it?

Anyway, I did my best to adress this issue even after quitting. I pursued GM’s and expressed how dissatisfied I am with their work in this regard and after several evasive responses I believe they DID something as my friend is no longer abused (They - he and his friends - were annoying her every single day, can you imagine not feeling safe in an online PC game? I can’t, that’s why I stepped in.). Nevertheless, my friend informed me he (the abuser) left the realm the very same day he heard me talking about reporting him. I assume Blizzard is aware of every transaction and how the names looked before every (paid) change, though.

  • You should see the name of his, though. 90 % were letters you had to type via ALT codes. No wonder he has not been reported yet, it literally took me 5 minutes just to type his name in-game (you can’t copy text when writing a ticket). I am that meticulous to actually do it and I wouldn’t be surprised if I was the only one.

All in all, plenty of you were right. Of COURSE I would return to this game, it’s amazing! Though, you know how it is: if you are angry or stressed out you just tend to see things differently at the time. :slight_smile: I hope that cleared out some of the adressed issues and calmed down some of the… more provocative elements among us.

Well sadly you have people that project their shortcomings onto others in here have seen it alot on Outland realm similar kind of people it’s sad really the most bottom of the barrel people and they can do that because they know they are safe behind the screen and if you suddenly wanna protect the victim and punish the bad for harassing a user you are suddenly a bad guy and get suspended for it I know I am talking from personal experience.I tried to defend a forum user from being harassed and I got a week ban from the forums.

Yeah, forum has weird standards.

I once posted something, not a peep from anyone, a few days later I posted a rage post directed at Blizzard and I got suspended.
I asked for an explanation (you don’t even get it in the email informing you of your ban-LOL right?) and the response was that I was banned for a comment that wasn’t sanctioned in any way before.

Translation: do what you want, but if you say enough bad things about us we’ll go full petty azz on you.

Gotta admit ever since they added the LFG tool, people in general became douches because you often never meet the same players again so there is basically no consequences.

I miss the days where you actually had to move your butt and form a group. People were nicer and more helpful. It took time, but it wasn’t souless like now.

If you use Prat and copy text before you open a ticket, you can paste. I know this info comes a bit late now and i hope you don’t get any of these encounters ever again but for the future, keep my tip in mind. Hope everything has calmed down now a bit :hugs:
