Ideas: Changes for affliction

I’ve been thinking about the problems of the affliction witch and I see two fundamental ones:

  1. Difficulty doing AOE quickly and sustainably.
  2. Putting dots on various enemies does not do enough damage to apply pressure.

How would I fix it?
I would add a new AOE skill (PVE oriented) + I would add a new passive (PVP oriented and some PVE).

New skill: “Dark Lament”.
It would be similar to Cataclysm, an initial zone damage that leaves a 20-second debuff, this debuff would be “Anguish”.
Anguish: The enemy is infused with shadow energy for 20s. Over time, shadow energy will be released, dealing “X” damage to its host. If the enemy dies while affected by “Anguish”, the energy will be released exploding, dealing “X” points of damage to all enemies within 5m.

OBJECTIVE: Help generate some instant AOE damage and allow the warlock to not fall behind in damage when facing very large groups of enemies with low health.

New passive: “Gloomy Debris.”
Your damage over time spells deal 50% more damage when the enemy’s health is above 85%.

OBJECTIVE: Recover the essence of an annoying dower in PVP encounters, allowing you to damage and generate pressure on several enemies at the same time without the dots applied being OP (it wouldn’t be fair to die from 2 dots from a witcher, but it would be annoying in some way ). It would also help in pve, especially in raid bosses. If it turns out that the passive does too much damage in raid, perhaps it can be nerfed and add some of its effect as a pvp talent.

uhm there easier solution would be to decrease vial taints cd and let it apply Corruption, agony (with 5 stacks) and SL
another QoL thing would be to reduce the cast time of seed.

thrn at least only leaves the applicayion of UA, haunt and soulrot.
i dont have a good idea to make those 3 better QoL

besides death blossom and the other thing that is in the same choice node needs to be combined because it craps either of ST or Aoe

the real problem in afflis aoe is just the metric tons of globals that you need to apply the dots. the dots itself dont even do dmg, it will be seed spam and dark glare that does the heavy lifting

I disagree,darkglare is picked to extend your dots an nothing else(since the nerf)
Puting one spell to add 3dots is OP af
We need current tier set to be part of the talents or even core.
Soulburn with insta seed like it was during mop/wod/legion would solve few problems in “zerg” terms

there is no difference to adding 3 dots or 2 dots.
shadow works with 2 dots and that is why crash applies 2 dots and on a shorter cd.

well darkglare currently doesnt do dmg because you dont skill it anyways because of the tier that that forces soulrot another dot that nobody asked for. at least it is an aoe dot…

soulburn eats a shard and with the rng shard gen it would make no sense to give instant seed for one more shard. it would effectively lower your dmg

you also can just straight up remove sl since it is just junk with low duration anyways

You dont pick dark glare in any scenario,you only take him to extend dots,so as now you want VT to apply all major dots?
Having issue with shards in m+? Learn to snipe with DS
Dont be silly aff is in a good place and needs some tweaks
