If Blizz stopped players from spitting on things

How come the Guards in respective cities, eg. Stormwind, the Guards are allowed to spit on DK players but the players can only spit on the ground?

Yeah, using an old version of WotLK, whatever. It’s just funny Blizzard’s stance on the whole thing and either they slipped or just thought it part of the game…

Because tbe reason they removed spitting was because players were using it to target people of a certain catagory, likely isnt rly abusable by the npcs using it.

Regardless of its removsl reason being alittle silly over all

Because DKs aren’t a minority or protected class.

Don’t DKs deserve it?

Wait, people who buy store mounts are?

This feels more than a little conspiratorial :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe im misremembering but I thought the /spit issue was people who targeted those who bought the TBC collectors edition?

Again, this feels more than a little conspiratorial.

May it have contributed to the removal that Asmongold and his sheep launched a massive /spit campaign vs store bought mounts and thus creating an utterly toxic atmosphere for people just playing the game? Certainly. Was it the main reason? I really, REALLY doubt it.

Frat boy culture and all that. If people didn’t want these changes they should’ve been telling Blizzard to be less r-wordy.

Well it just seems like the reason to me. It’s actually easy to target someone for such things. For minorities or whoever you would need to learn about the person first.

It’s really easy to do it based on someones name too.

Hey my name isn’t like it sounds!

Well, it is but still

Bear in mind that the game is present in the US too where some people have hispanic sounding names.

Relatively certain it would’ve been an issue on servers like Firemaw too.

Maybe. I’ve only ever seen the issue through a certain lens.
It used to be okay to target Gnomes specifically and /spit on them.
In general it would be pretty common to do as a thing to the opposite faction and it was obviously never a positive thing, but it was okay to do.
It always seemed like a reaction to people doing it to the easy target of those with store mounts

When Varian told the folk of Stormwind to accept DKs as part of the Alliance…No?

Does every point you try to make always have to revolve around someone being discriminated? Honestly in the EU servers It seemed to be as a result of the TBC mounts, and happened right around that time. I remember the mass spit spams whenever I’d mount up on the collectors edition, personally I found it a great way of showeringfor free, and in these tough times should really be brought back.

But just because you REALLY think it isn’t right, doesn’t make it wrong. Its as plausible as any other explanation, and not everything has to be about racism.

Because NPCs spit on DKs for lore reasons and so they are directing their hate to the character and not the player, but players who use spit on masse used to spit on players who bought TBC mount to show their hate for those players.

Any form of hate and discrimination towards characters is ok because characters are fictional and fictional hate is roleplay, it is not real.

Any form of hate and discrimination towards players is depreciable. If you are unable to show your opinion against the collector mount without respecting those who do not share your opinion and buy the mount then there is something wrong with you.

Showing respect only for those who share your values is not being a respectful person, it is easy to only respect those you like, that is why being a respectful person requires you to accept that other people are against your opinions and still respect them.

No I truly hate Gnomes

I have bad news for you, gnomes don’t actually exist. So you can hate them but your hate is fictional, like gnomes.

No?

But when it’s a direct result of a lawsuit against Blizzard it’s really hard to assume anything else.

Maybe pay attention to the news once in a while?

If you think they’re doing different rulesets for regions you’re mad.

And that’s fine, as long as you don’t hate the player behind the gnome

What next, my waifu isn’t real either?
