I'm sorry but the pet HAS to go

This may come off as a whine post, and if so, so be it.

I switched to SV after a while of having a blast on MM after YEARS… Now with that being said, I was always against SV as melee, but i adjusted over time and in BFA and dragonflight, I must say I kinda enjoyed it here and there. PvP SV was good, but had its limitations.

In TWW though, SV is a NIGHTMARE… I just can’t deal with SV in PvP anymore. The fact that BM is already established as a pet spec, yet SV has just as much if not more pet dependancy is CRAZY to me. Imagine being in a BG and I see:

  • Stunned
  • Rooted
  • Out of Range
  • Feared
  • Polymorphed
  • DEAD

All this crap, while I am moving my character fine, but now I can’t:

  • Stun
  • Freedom
  • RoS
  • Hit Hardest Ability
  • Hit filler
  • Hit filler that amps my damage
  • BURST, I CANNOT BURST!!!

I’m sorry but this sort of design is NOT SUSTAINABLE in a game that has player vs player. Too many variables make this a nightmare, especially in crowded pvp environments. Imagine jumping off a ledge and into combat only to be spamming buttons that don’t work because your pet is taking a detour around his old neighbourhood before giving you access to HALF YOUR DARN BARS!!! Then you get slapped up and /lol’d at like a nab.

Also why is it that DKs and Warlocks can access their pet abilities while CC’d but we can’t(except RoS). They can hit their pet stuns or CC while they are CC’d but we can’t when we arre CC’d, HOW IS THAT LOGICAL?? OR ARE WE ARE GOING TO SAY cLaSs FaNtAsIiIiiEeee…

REMOVE THE PET DEPENDANCY, IT IS AN ANCIENT RELIC OF A DESIGN CHOICE.

Even without the bugbears with pet dependency in PvP, I just think removing pets from SV is the right call because doing so would then fully differentiate the three Hunter specs from one another.

The new direction for SV in Midnight looks really good. SV has taken a step closer to being distinct from the other two specs. But it still having a pet is holding it back…

And I already know what replies are going to be. “B-b-but what about Rexxar??” Yeahh, I don’t care much for it. The gadgeteer fantasy is really cool, coming from someone who has sunk a hell of a lot of hours into the Scoundrel/Operative class in SWTOR. Honestly, to the folks who aren’t happy with what’s coming, if you’d have had the same experience with SWTOR that I have, you’d be knocking the doors down for SV becoming a tinkerer-gadgeteer spec. Trust.

SV having a pet is holding us back from that. It’s time for it to go.

(sorry for my english) I trully understand that feeling on pvp.

Moreover I had same issues with chaotics crowd control on my horde of dumb pets when I was on BM

But, when it comes to blitz, (or any random node bgs) from a strategic pov, having a single pet to defending a Node is incredibly strong

Even on Marksman, I always pick the pet talent when my mates wants me to keep a base.

It’s completely crazy how long you can spin and gain some Time until cavallery finally comes to clean

It makes me WIN a lot of Blitz on that way

Good Evening

the pet is not the issue its the player being bad and cant keep them alive and use the heal pet spell from their book which should be in the bars and pets are not there to take on everything the hunter you should be joining in and helping more and plus if blizz removes the whole pet thing then hunter class needs to be removed too as they need their furry friend
