I’m glad people admit their whole story about "wanting the items because not having them makes people want to quit " is much more about jealousy and seing other players who they were jealous of get salty
That part is fair tho, but wasn’t Blizzard involved in when and in which quantity the TCG cards were printed to some degree?
I genuinely don’t know how much agency they had over it, but if they took the decision to print those cards in such low quantity themself, well that kinda invalidate this argument.
No it isnt. We as humans do not change our values and behaviour just becouse something is game and not real life. Everything we do and how we think about video games is exactly same as we would think about in real life.
All these arguments about umobtaniblae items are always come down to 1 thing. People want them back becouse they dont like others have something they dont. So they would rather see those items completly ruined for everyone tham accept they will never have them.
Funny how you all demand to have acessible way to get only exclusives items but when comes to anything els in the game nothing but silence. Have you ever ting about fact that reason why we talk about them and you want them back is becouse they are rare items?
In moment Blizzard would brought them back those items would be ruined and nobady would care about them. How many people have you seen in mage tower gear sets? Oh yeah noone becouse those items are not exclusive and everybody can get them.
There is tons of new fresh cool items what you can get yet most of you dont bother then you cry later becouse you cant no longer get them.
Looks like a very nice feature to earn cosmetic rewards without spending any money and just by playing the game. Also cool to see that previous paid cosmetics can now be earned in this new system as well.
Awesome, just import the god awful Atoms system everyone hates from Fallout 76, along with the offensively boring dailies (or in this case monthlies). /emote to an NPC? Truly inspired.
Please, do use more stuff from one of the most hated games out there.
Sarcasm aside, I’m super salty that a few weeks into this amazing addon there is a mobile game like login bonus/battle pass system on the horizon. It does not matter that it’s free (yet). This is the same bull all the live services pull to FOMO bind you to their game.
I have an idea: Take the awesome cosmetics, and, you know, PUT THEM IN THE GAME. THE GAME YOU PLAY. WHERE LOOT DROPS. MAKE THE COOL STUFF LOOT. YOU ALREADY HAVE A REPUTATION SYSTEM. PROFESSIONS. THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO BE DIFFICULT, YOU ARE JUST MAKING IT DIFFICULT BECAUSE SOMEONE THINKS THIS IS THE WAY TO MAKE CASH.
If they add good and interesting tranmog etc. choices I dont care if it is a battle pass. Still I would hope it wouldnt only cost money. There should be some hard to do quest so that you feel accomplished.
My wish list:
Hoods for plate users
Plate/mail for cloth users (Battlemage-, Warrior priest-theme)
Cloaks that cover shoulders also.
New face/hair/beard options for barber
Epic quest that give you “medals” you can attach to your mount and/or armor
Dog pets you need to raise/customize from pubs.
Everything class-themed
Everything allingment-themed (good/evil)
Transmog items to show support to different factions
Glyphs recipes…so many glyph recipes. Especially remove shadow effect for priests.
Maybe player housing? Lots of items to earn in here.
Etc. Etc. Those are only the ideas I came up right now.
So with the new warden spectral tiger mount thing being a reward for getting to a certain number of tasks, would y’all be happy with things like the Brutosaur, obsidian worldbreaker, original ZG Raptor and tiger being a reward in the future?
