I think it’s quite likely they’ll post-pone it until next year but they won’t announce this until near the end of the year so it won’t impact the share price until absolutely necessary.

You are also paying premium like it’s nowadays popular to become the “alpha tester”.
The game will be finished when it goes on a discount, which is it’s actual price.
I’m still trying to figure out how s4 and prepatch are going to work out. I mean in all fairness they should finish season 4 before the prepatch however with the amount of time they have I don’t see that happening. And if they launched the prepatch during the s4 then that would completely turn everything on its head.
This would be the best thing that can happen to this game 
I think the alpha is ready, but they are scared of the hype ending, if it has too many bugs. I feel like they view the alpha as a marketing tool right now, and I’d do the same in their position.
If Dragonflight is bad, wow is simply gonna die as a game

I trully believe him he will enjoy Dragonflight.

I don’t think this is going to be acceptable to a majority of the player base who had massive issues with it in SL. Its not to say the expansion will be a flop but you may just see a large decline in players early in patches or players who will only come back in the final season so as not to have to put up with drip feeding / gated content.

The only real thing they’re developing is talent trees and professions. Which is easier to develop just those things than the myriad of other stuff/borrowed power theyve had over the last few expansions.
They arent having to design and implement many convoluted systems like : Torghast, covenants, conduits, renown (stiill have this in DF but its not a new system now and thus reasonably fleshed out), legendaries, tier sets etc.
They legit only have the talent tress to design and balance. Makes the Alpha/beta cycle much shorter i think

Artists started working on DF when SL was launched so that is probably done by now. As for coders less systems = less time required, so i guess that is also near end.
As for talents previews, my impression is that they are releasing them periodically to maintain hype.
