You’re not providing feedback though. You’re providing a Vent to spread dictate through.

Not feedback… in fact and assumption based on ZERO evidence.

You are not providing Feedback. You are sowing seeds to make hatred for a game which will probably be perfectly fine and enjoyed by many.

You have not. Please provide the answer to the question:

Why do you play a game you continuously spread hatred about?

Well you’re not doing a good job of that if you’re the person spreading it.

You can even answer the question:

Why do you continue to play a game that you clearly don’t enjoy playing?

I won’t lie, I didn’t expect this to go on for so long. I’m just waiting for you to answer my simple question:

Why do you continue to play a game that you clearly don’t enjoy playing.

But if you think I’m doing something I don’t enjoy. Well I do enjoy playing WoW. I have always enjoyed playing WoW.

I enjoy talking on the forums with people and discussing fun and great ideas.

But what I don’t enjoy is seeing people who just hate the game and hate the company who make it, and who give no chance to them. I enjoy help those people make the realisation that there are better things to do with their lives.

Please, I’m being serious here. If you don’t like this game, if you’re worried that Dragonflight isn’t going to be what you want it to be. Please just turn off, try something different. You won’t believe how much a change will bring great positivity to your life as a whole.

I’m trying to help you here. It’s clear you don’t enjoy this game and that you don’t like Blizzard. The first step to your recovery is realising you have a problem. Stop trying to blame me because I’m pointing out your problems.

IT sector is resilient to lock-downs, many of them worked from home before c19. That being said, i can see that audio department was hard hit since they need to go to the studio with microphones , mix boards and all that.
Also while not 100% sure, i think that music for wow is done by actual orchestra and not by geek with FruityLoops.

This I agree with.

I think that they are just letting out little bits of information here and there to keep us interested.

Over the past couple of years they have been criticised a lot for putting out too much information in advance i.e. leaking storylines, having bosses available on PTR before going live etc.

they have definitely been keeping things secret: Last 3 bosses of Sepulcher, Sylvannas Trial and 3 cinematics and the Dark Ranger appearances.

Having things as surprises makes the game a lot better. I am sure this is the reason why Blizzard are keeping things out of the public.

Maybe there won’t be a public alpha/beta.
I would like that. Let the expansion be a surprise like FF.

Keep dreaming. Wowhead will pump info one way or another.

You’ll be surprised a lot of working professionals in have their own Voice Over studio. They’re not too hard to set up and get a good enough sound for. It’s certainly a compromise that they could have made if they needed to.

Not been done by an Orchestra in years unfortunately (maybe Wotlk was the last one).

They will they always have a kind of closed public beta because they rely on the streamers for effectively free advertising.

They could at least say that if that’s their plan.

FF invites them to play a slice of it. So, the same method can be used.

Well we all know they’re keeping more off of the PTR now. They’ve said they would be doing that because of all of the backlash they have had with leaked storylines.

Remember 3 bosses in Sepulcher where not on PTR and neither was the Dark Ranger customisations.

They don’t need to tell us anything. Demanding to be told all the time is just being entitled!

I guess they still have smaller music bands?
This is D4 sound crew

Possibly. The music they produce is still fantastic!

I used to work in Sound Design before I changed direction and started working in travel. in fact, I used to run quite a popular Blog about creating sound effects (although it’s all offline now). I still kinda of get excited when I hear sound effects, as I hear each element of how they were made.

In case you were wondering, the career change was well worth it, and I’ve never looked back.

Bear in mind latest technology allows for music pieces to be recorded remotely, and then produced together. A good example is the new Journey album, released this week, all the bands members recorded everything on their own, then it was mixed/produced by Bob Clearmountain, the producer, on his own.

A possibility maybe for the DF soundtrack?

That depends on whether played by Orchestra or not. As a big part of an Orchestras sound is the sound of the Orchestra playing together in one place.

But I’m have a feeling most of it is made using pre-recorded sound libraries and a sequencer nowadays.

If tech exists, then yeah maybe they were working like that.

Its an option i guess they may have looked into

I agree to a point on this, story shouldnt be in it at all imo, the quests can be there but the text and voicelines can be removed and only for their team to check.

My concern will mainly be on the talents that most classes still have no clue on what they will be. This has happened once before in Cata because they started with a 61 talent point tree and some classes got theirs announced very late. Then suddenly they shortened it to 31 points and at the same time went… “You know what would be good to do? Add holy power for paladins!!”

My concern is that this will repeat. Paladin class will be done very late, get little testing done and no changes what so ever during beta, just like in Cata.

Agreed, they can literally end PTR testing a week before it goes live and them put all the dialogue and text in closed before it goes live.

The thing is, a lot of the feedback I’m seeing isn’t really constructive. It’s more hate because of a change, than trying to bring constructive proposals to how it can be improved going forward.

This is why I think relying on the player base to test these things is bad for the game overall.

Blizzard want to make 1 thing, they players are like “OMG this won’t work, put it back”, Blizzard back tracks a little bit and we end up with rubbish.

Whereas if Blizzard were allowed to put together what they want to put together. Sure things will probably feel a lot different to what they do now. But the product will be complete and less messy. Ever heard the saying 'Too many cooks spoil the stew"?. It’s Blizzards game, let them make it.

Even if its not going to make, people need new zones to explore, new dungeons. It does not matter, shadowlands has lived it cycle and we need something new. If we will stick to this for 1 more year, the game will be dead.
