I am just looking for a way to play WoW again. The game has gotten so spacious, that I had to delete it from my laptop to make room for updates.
I was wondering if it’s possible to play the game from an extern hardrive on a laptop?
If I bought one, would it be possible to installed the game on that? and would it still be able to connect with battle.net on my laptop hardrive.
I am not very technical at all, and english is not my first language, but I hope I’m explaining myself correctly.
It’s possible, but the connection between the external hard drive and the laptop would be a significant bottleneck and result in suboptimal play.
Can you not just fit a larger hdd in the laptop? Ideally an SSD?
If you don’t want a huge capacity then an external SSD would be ideal, i keep all my apps on a Samsung T7 which has like 1 GB/s speed and i don’t notice any slowdowns.
possible? yes, i did it for quite a few years on my laptop. reccommended? nah. if i were you i d just get a ssd instead.
