Chill! I’m not asking for another highborne allied race I’m just curious if that’s possible since it still has some of the Well of Eternity’s power in it.
i doubt it the sunwell is just a single vial from the well of eternity its a lot less powerful then the original and even if it could the process would take hundreds if not thousands of years of exposure
On the other hand… the Well of Eternity was a wound, filled with the Titan’s lifeblood, tended by the Titans/Titanforged (they bilt some Titan-stuff there, those ruins/tablets were found by that Dark Troll tribe, they took the Titanic word: Kaldorei/children of Stars as a name and developed their own language) and filled with water
Following this logic… Azerite, the liquid or crytalized form of the same Titan should help the Hyper-evolution, like the Vale’s waters did the Jinyu, the Wells with the Trolls… not just Troll-specific mutations/evolution
The question is interesting…
Any race
Hard to say since Blizz a bit inconsistent and shady about their own lore
whats lore though they already stated once that the lore don’t matter since it ties the hands of the creator they obviously stopped caring about the lore long ago
We’ve seen how almost every magic in Warcraft has a mutating effect on the user:
-
Nature - Animal body parts
-
Fel - Horns, hooves, wings, scales or green/black/red skin
-
Arcane - White hair, pale skin or wizened looks, extended lifespans.
-
Holy - White hair, golden eyes.
-
Necromancy - Grey or deadly white skin, grey or white hair, corpse-like appearance.
-
Shadow (Void) - All sorts of horrendous deformations.
So if the Trolls grew attuned to a source of magic such as the Sunwell it is very probable they would also be changed in due time.
But knowing the Trolls they would sooner burn that sparkly swimming pool and rebuild their sacred city on top of it instead.
We could throw Zekhan or Talanji in the Sunwell and see what happens
but what if she becomes a elf prettier then us that seems a dangerous experiment
In the end, the Well of Eternity did nothing but accelerate evolution. I don’t think the Sunwell has the power to do that around the world, let alone outside its sphere of influence around Quel’Thalas. Although its magic reaches elves everywhere, its scope and effect are very limited. So if trolls lived on his shores for centuries or generations, he might change them.
No, as the Sunwell contains only a fraction of the original Well of Eternity. If it had its same properties, that group of murloc living in Quel’danas would have already been transformed into jinyu.
If it did, wouldn’t we see its effects on the Amani in Zul’Aman by now?
even the woe needs entire generation to change the trolls, so the sunwell needs - if he is capable of doing so - much longer to archieve it.
The Amani have not been in the Sunwell area, I know it sounds a bit crazy because the ingame world makes it look like the Ghost Lands and the Amani areas are one and the same, but if you look at the map closely you can see a significant difference. Also the forest - outside the area of influence - is completely different than inside the area of influence.
I know i said Zul’aman, so I admit, my bad. But there ARE Amani living inside Eversong Woods too.
Basically, no the Sunwell cannot turn trolls into elves.
since 15-20 years, not since forever.
The high elves even thought the Amani were extinct for thousands of years and were surprised that they reappeared. After the 2nd war they managed to drive away all the Amani again.
Only after the 3rd war did they return. As I said, that was only 15-20 years ago.So it is simply not possible to say if the Sunwell is capable of this, but if the pools in Pandaria are capable of this, the Sunwell should be within its sphere of influence.
Don’t forget that Well of the Eternity have also created Taurens.
Interesting, that in many thousand years only 2 races have changed using those waters. Night Elves and Taurens. Both of those races believe in Elune. Both of those 2 races love nature and are Cenarious friends and students.
Maybe it really was Elune, who have used those waters, to create a new races?
That is not correct, the WOE had influence on all peoples, on every race that was created. Trolls were only created because the WOE increased the evolution rapidly.
So did Yaungol. Without this sphere of ultra-evolution, 130,000 years later, Azeroth would probably still be populated primarily by primitive microbes and a colorful variety of grasses and early tree-like structures + most live would be still in the water.
Well if you are talking about that Titans have used those waters to make “Order” in Azeroth, than that is only makes my theory stronger.
Because there always must be a user of the Arcane. Without a user nothing will happens.
Those waters will not change anyone by some radiation. That water will not create nature without a user. There must somebody who will actually use that Arcane to create something.
No, the water had an effect by itself through the strong life energy. The closer you were to the source, the stronger that effect was. Whole generations and evolutionary lines ran directly empowered from the well within a few years.
Because of this effect, freya created other places where she used the water and there the same effect took place
You didn’t need a user for it, the water had this life-enhancing property by itself.
Elune did have finger in it for sure, she became intrested in the night elfs, or some proto elfs, so she almost for sure had something to do whit it.
taurens not sure how that happens, maby a cow stumbled up on the well, when elune was doing her thing and accidently turned that cow in to a taruen
or maybe elune is just the figment of imagination of some deilusional night elves and it was simply evolution
