There’s a few very active russian win trading teams right now around 2300 mmr.
I keep seeing them over and over and they always do the same. The side where less of them land does every trick in the book to sandbag the match. Announcing they will fc and then don’t, heal an fc and then just go away when efc has reached the flag point, so our fc insta dies at just the right moment. Say they defend a point and then just let enemy have it…. the most obvious stuff.
I’ve reported them like a dozen times now, but nothing ever seems to happen. Has Blizzard completely stopped protecting the integrity of PVP?
We’ve seen that most PVP penalties are given end-of-season instead because of mid-season bans meaning they will just reroll to a different account to do the same thing again.
Whilst if they get banned end-of-season they can’t repeat the same trick because that season’s rewards become unobtainable.
You’d do best to report them, if you want you can also attach a short clip to Hacks@blizzard.com
I have played in all mmr’s (even R1 mmr) and I can guarantee you there are no wintraders.
Two friends might bump into each other on opposite team and tell the other one to throw the game for some gold.
However if you mean there are professional, organized wintraders then I must say this does not exist.
You can literally buy their win trade services for real money on some well known websites. Which is why end of season bans won’t do anything. They’ve already earned their money by then.
While there are websites offering these services you have to remember they are out to get your money.
Basically its just scam websites that promises you to get rewards but you wont get them and just lose your money if you pay up.
Summing up facts there are no organized wintraders.
I dont see the logic in it if Blizzard operate this way.
If they wait until end of season the damage done to PvP will be massive and also irreversible.
Why not prevent it and ban them immediately and also do a follow up on IP’s, hardware ID etc so when they create new accounts they get banned before they reach max level. This would prevent a lot but I think Blizzard is a bit sloppy.
Correction, 2700 is a wild bracket right now… every second match had active sabotage attempts. But other players are often good enough to stomp them anyway once the win trader has been noticed.
Genuinely the most fun i’ve had in PVP so far, when the win traders were messing with the flags and we just proceeded to play around them to win. Everybody was yelling in chat, but also playing out of their minds.
And somehow it’s almost always priests with russian names causing problems.
