I think it’s bugged. When I first cpmpleted it, I’ve got like 8-15 dubloons per container. Now I’m getting 2-5 like the advancement never existed! Do you guys got the same?
I have been getting containers like that too. It’s like they’ve purposely slowed down how much we gain.

I noticed the same thing, i hope its a bug otherwise i’m going to give up on trying to get that 1000 dubloon mount

ive done 12 runs nothing then i got one on 13th run with 3 in it when you need 1500 for the 2 mounts it is so wrong this happens .
Damn Blizzard. They love to slow down our progress as much as possible. It’s the same with everything: emissary caches, weekend events and so on… You do weekend event quest and get the lowest upgrade possible or no upgrade at all.

I’ve actually notices i’m getting more dubloons in each container recently.
But who knows maybe it’s just completely random.
I did 68 recorded Islands, 34N and 34H - some stats:
- Average gain/Island - 4,46 (N - 3,91, H - 5,00)
- Empty runs: N - 47%, H - 41%
Yeah, it is really slow.
And the research might actually be bugged. I remember that I’ve started recording these runs at about the same time I’ve researched the thing and I used to get a lot, lot more Dubloons than I do now.
I wonder, maybe I’ll try researching the other option and then researching the Dubloon bonus again? Anyone tried that?

There’s no question about it, it’s been nerfed through the ground and then stomped upon. I got up to 150 in 2 days early this expansion when i farmed it for 2 days straight.
Now I’m up to 198 after playing for several days. Record was playing (wouldn’t call it playing, more like suffering) 18 runs and getting a bag containing 2 dubloons.
It’s a complete joke and it angers me everytime someone tries to defend blizzard and say that they get like 15 dubloons every time and say ”that’s rng for you”. That research that is supposed to help give you more actually makes me get less.

Yeah, there should be some guaranteed amount of doubloons on victory + guaranteed amount for the ship research, then a chance for more. The fact they nerfed it silently sucks. What’s the point of creating new content when they make it purposely unrewarding?

On release it felt slow. Then they increased it around 8.1 (I think) and now it’s been secretly slowed down again. Atleast it feels like that.

This is unbelievable, game is about grinding and developer slows that grind to us. It’s like your trainer will tell you that you must climb a mountain, but he is standing at the top and is throwing stones at you >.<

I just want that albatross mount but it’s so disheartening when you play for hours on end and get 2 dubloons…
At this rate I only suffer for the weekly map that never ever give anything good. If I happen to get half a dubloon for 10 island runs or so then so be it. Definitely among the worst grinds there is cause of how boring the islands are.

5,5k dubs here and got all from vendor, feels good.
I’m in the same boat. I’m at roughly 500 dubloons now. It’s so slow.

How did you get them from vendor?
Yeah i am wondering if i am doing something wrong at this point. on my hunter i played since Christmas i got a whole 80 of them. and on this war i played early in january i got a whole 50 of them……
I want to farm for some things from that vendor. But months for 50 damned dubloons while the mount costs 1000
It would be different if we actually could find dubloons on the islands themselves. But since december the groups i were in literally only found 2 dubloons on all islands combined
I am now reaching the point i cant be bothered by islands anymore except for the weekly quest for them. I actually like islands alot, but the only reward that make it worth it right now is some pets dropping once in a while, and maybe a transmog items once every 25 islands if you are Lucky.

Not everyone has the time to play like you do which seems a very unheathly amount.
Even if they made herioc drop a min of 5 per run it would take 300 alone to get 2x mounts and another 200 more to buy rest of vendor.

He got that while you could afk mythic islands. Which I unfortunately didn’t know about until it was over. Don’t like to afk but to get that mount faster than a 5 year farm or so would be worth it. I have given up on it now.
