Seriously Honux, you need to stop. If you don’t like cat threads then don’t read them, we all have that freedom of choice, threads we want to participate in or those we don’t, nobody forces us to read/comment on a thread.
For everything else you mentioned there are systems in place to deal with them, make use of the systems.

Oh also the cat treads are a perfect example of that they can make OT treads but if someone else does it gets flagged/reported becouse “not pertinent to the game”.

The forums aren’t a good indication of the game. Basically, the only people writing on the forums are the people who aren’t enjoying the game. Those who are enjoying it are too busy playing it.
It is general forum and there are lots of threads that can be classed as ‘off topic’ I mean what does general mean? I personally don’t mind the ‘fun threads’ and I do participate in some (not all).
Again it’s down to choice, I can post or I can ignore a thread, but I am sure we can put your theory to the test, do you think if I make a thread about dogs (I am a dog lover) will it be flagged/reported? Or do you think fellow dog lovers will come into the thread and post cute puppy pics?
Think about it, if such a post was flagged wouldn’t the poster who created the thread have the perfect ammunition to take to a mod and say 'well if my thread is not pertinent to the game, why is X or Y thread allowed?
General forum for me is for general chat, some of which relates to the game, others that are just for fun, you just have to learn how to navigate it. Yes there are threads that I dislike, I just ignore them and yes there are posters who are out to flame/bait etc, I flag such posts.
I genuinely was trying to be helpful and hoping that you would avert a ban, but you seem intent on pointing out flaws in the system. Most posters are aware that the forums are not perfect, but we do have tools to help us make it better.
I don’t see the point of carrying on in this thread as it has become a baiting/flaming war. So have a great day of gaming and I hope to see you in other less controversial threads 
Best bet is to check for yourself to be honest. I have been in FF Discord for a long while even if I come and go.
Personally, I get why you’re suspicious about some forum users. It certainly seems odd when a post directed to a certain user gets hidden.
However, those post most of the time are breaking the CoC.
I cannot assure you that it’s not mass flag from someone, all I can say is: not many people on that Discord care about flagging a certain post, I certainly don’t care about someone discussing with another poster and I’m pretty sure others don’t care either.
The Discord purpose, as far as I’m aware, is to gather WoW players, organize events together and talk about silly or not thing related to WoW and sometimes real life.
Not to create conspiracy theories, not to ruin or target a poster or an idea.
Like they browsed mine post history on that char to find other post to flag? (that I made previously on pourpose of this)
If they are so eager to talk they can do it in game, not on discord where they can see min username and potentially harass mine friends/guild too.
If you feel harassed by a forum user you should report them or open a ticket.
What I can say is, users don’t act on behalf of the Discord, flags are made personally.
Some posters here are or were part of the Discord and have never talk about flagging someone because they dislike them.
If people that are part of the Discord do this would be definitely upsetting to say at least, but like I said earlier, would be private messaging therefor not on the Discord channels.

i was nothing to do with here now i am being accused of trolling ,group flagging and making a discord server flag on my command .
The thread the person linked on his 2 chars accusing me of trolling and being rude i read through and saw nothing breaking CoC and yet the person who i replied to in that thread from what i can see had some posts removed for calling me abbusive names .
Now i have asked him to provide proff of what i said was wrong and he has been offered on his chars to join discord to see all records .
But if you think for one minute that i have power over people then you and him are wrong .
His posts on both chars in this thread are off topic and blatant harrasement and i have flagged them JUST ME .
Why would anyone do that?
If a poster feels targeted and harassed they have their right to open a ticket and report a player, stays on Moderators to decide if the accusation is legit or not.
You can do the same if you have felt attacked, and you already know this.
Although, if I gotta be honest, you do somewhat similar things to other posters.
You stay within CoC but doesn’t mean is not rude or upsetting.
That’s my personal opinion when I see topics flagged with nonsense discussions of who’s more offensive or who feels more offended.
(Ironically just like this topic, OP was talking about forums depressive state and it ends up talking about harassment and CoC).
