Jumped back into MoP classic quickly after grinding Anniversary pre patch like a madman.
Went into a celestial dungeon for some quick VP. First thing that happens is that one person missed the elevator up to last boss in Mogu’shan Palace, gets instantly votekicked because of it. I pressed no ofc, but the others in the group must’ve had a different approach.
So I’m just assuming the guy now had to sit out doing nothing for 30 mins before he could queue into another one. Considering a celestial dungeon takes like 5 minutes nowadays, 30 min is way too harsh of a punishment, especially since 99.9% of votekicks happening in this game are totally unfair.
It’s like the system is designed to not have people interested in playing the game. Nobody benefits from this except for trolls and griefers. It makes zero sense having this in the game the way it is currently implemented.
Nobody would benefit from this getting removed either, because as soon as there is no penalty tanks and healers will just keep leaving any undesirable dungeon all the time. Your “quick VP” farm would turn into a 2h wait until someone thinks “hey I want to do this dungeon!”.
and in OG mop when if u leave/kicked after 1st boss u get no deserter except for system block for qing another RANDOM dung for like 5-10 mins (based on time u were inside)

Proposals so far include but not limited to:
“Just remove it” The darkest times will come back again. Where players may need to wait hours before their dungeon can start/finish while prio roles can keep requeuing for their desires roles due protections removed.
“Reduced cooldowns stacking upwards” so that if you aren’t kicked often, it starts with a minor debuff.
“Reduced cooldowns, stacking downwards” so if you’re in a “good” party, then when they surprisepikachu kick you at the end the cooldown is lower.
“Warning before Debuff” - When you get removed from dungeon you get a Warning but allows you to requeue, if you get kicked again you get debuffed on subsequent leaves.
“Add reporting for kicking” - This is akin FF where they investigate if someone is really, really using votekick so often and gets reported for it that often as well. WoW used to do this.

I know you’re posting the same template response in all threads highlighting this issue.
But if you truly believe this to be the case, I don’t think you’re even playing MoP classic to begin with. The last time this was somewhat of a problem was in Cata HC Deadmines before Blizzard fixed it by increasing currency rates for that dungeon in particular. Voilà, problem fixed.
But back to celestials. A tank or a healer leaving really doesn’t matter at this point, a replacement is just minutes away, and in the meantime the dungeons are so linear and braindead easy you can still clear both trash and bosses. The buffs people are getting makes everyone ridiculously strong, so you need to really misplay to risk whiping, even without a proper tank or healer. Heck, I’ve successfully facetanked celestial bosses as a clothie healer.
People being able to grief anyone for no reason, at any point without any repercussions whatsoever is a much larger and frequent problem than what’s being presented in your quote ever will be in this day and age. This isn’t 2012 MoP, we’re playing a heavily modified version of MoP that’s very different from the one 1½ decade ago. The in game systems needs to take that fact into account.

it was made like this for a reason for like 10-15 years
